Not necessarily a bug, but uninstalling this mod will break your save.  Once a creature has given you a disease, if you uninstall this mod it will render that creature completely invincible, even to console commands! Strangely, even after uninstalling the mod you can contract the diseases. Reinstalling the mod will fix it, however.
Fortunately I'm happy using it, but damn, if that didn't take some troubleshooting to figure out what was happening!

You will need to clean the save with a tool. But it shouldnt happen if using openmw.

It happens via openmw too, sadly

My modded Morrowind sometimes crashes on looting corpses. Would it have anything to do with this mod because of diseased creatures? I also have nix-hounds being slowed down like someone else mentioned.

Do you remember what creatures crashed your game on looting? The slowed down nix-hounds suffer from Dampworm (Drain Speed). The effect may be too strong, but then again in the vanilla game there are rats that can't even move because of diseases.

Its fine as deasease, problem is that EVERY nix is deseased, encountered 20+ and all of them is slowed.

Would it be possible to fix the slow-mo nix hounds? I know it makes logical sense but it just looks weird.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into this.

Cheers that would be great. In the context of in-game enemies it makes alot more sense they'd just be carriers than actually suffering the effects of the disease.

Well, diseased creatures in the vanilla game do actually suffer the effects of their diseases. Bethesda compensates this by buffing some of the stats for diseased creatures variants. I tried to do the same in my script (for major Speed reductions) but apparently this is not enough.

Yeah I read that somewhere; you'd think it would have been more logical for Bethesda to implement disease like a spell or power the creature could inflict on you. Anyway, still an essential mod imo, good luck and thanks!

I don't think the slow motion nix hounds is due to half11's mod.
I remember seeing this in an unmodded morrowind i played back in 2003!
It happens primarily inside caves and close to mountains, hills.

If you are seeing slow motion nix hounds out in the open then that is a different matter and perhaps worth looking into.

Is the mod compatible with OpenMW? I am using a recent Nightly.

Would it be possible to have a version without Blight Storm changes (Frostwind has its own mechanic for this). Or how would one go about doing this on their own? :)

I was thinking about separating these plugins again. Seems like the thing to do in light of compatibility with Merlord's amazing mod. Thanks for the suggestion!

Actually. I'm looking through old files on my PC and found Diseases Restored V1.2, which as far as I know, works and does not alter Blight Storms. Technically I could use that file, right?

EDIT: Hmm according to changelog 1.5, the mod was completely rebuilt.. I think it's maybe best to not use 1.2 then :D

Is it okay to update the mod mid-game, or will it work only on a new playthrough?

Installing mods mid-game is never really a good idea. You could try though if you know how to fix saves with Wrye Mash, but please make sure to make a backup save.

I found some conflicts between the creatures this edits and Morrowind Rebirth. How could I make them compatible?

TES3Merge can do this. I can't guarantee full compatibility though, since Rebirth overhauls pretty much every aspect of the game. Would you please let me know if this works or not? I'm curious.

    Great mod half11!

i just have a question: How is the 10% chance of catching Blight disease in Blight storms calculated? Is it by time(X seconds, minutes) or every time you go from indoors to outdoors? Thanks

Thanks! The 10% chance is calculated on cellchange (the moment you go from cell A to cell B) into a blight storm. It's not time-based.

Never gonna leave my mod list. I actually have a reason to have and cast the cure common disease spell. The way you've assigned the different diseases to various creatures works really well. Nice mod.

I'm planning to update the mod by making it so that existing diseased creatures have a 50/50 chance to carry one of two diseases.
