Love this mod a lot, and use it religiously when playing World. It's absolutely amazing. I don't suppose we might see a port of this to MH Rise at some point?
i wish the actual CAPCOM developers would know how to make a weapon fun right away.... this mod made a clunky, slow, weird junk into an actual fun experience while damage is untouched, so i dont feel like cheating the game

I love this whole mod, and I appreciate the effort taken. I have one question, how would I go about changing the quick reload after dodge step back to full reload? That just feels more natural to me, and especially with this mod allowing you to basically instathrust wyrmstake blast, i would way rather fullreload after my dodges than have to input it twice, or delay pressing reload, so i can keep using my wyrmstake blast on faster monsters.
Not a complaint whatsoever, just personal preference, ive been loving the mods you guys make and taking them and tweaking them into my own personal perfect mods, not familiar with fsm files though
I love the idea of this, Gunlance is ever dear to my heart as it was my first main weapon in the first game of the series I really sank my teeth into (3U).
The thing that always irked me was that Recoil Down skills never worked to reduce Gunlance Shelling recoil. The recoil locking you in place where you couldn't block or evade was what felt way too punishing, considering the piss-poor damage Gunlance shells did without mods to buff them.
Yeah, something I would have loved to do was change the recoil of certain shelling abilities. Normal shell recoil was fine, as doing shell->poke->shell->poke would recover any lost ground, and charged shelling (at least with Long) isn't frequent enough to push you out of range usually. Seeing in Iceborne how wyvernfire generally wasn't worth using due to its rather poor damage scaling and enormous pushback was a little sad. What really irked me was how repeatedly using full burst (+ wide sweep and quick reload) on a downed monster could pretty quickly push you backwards out of range: you finally get an opportunity to repeat your slow attacks and that's how you're rewarded :/ Unfortunately the only editable value I could find relating to recoil was a multiplier for pushback on charged shelling, which didn't seem worth the effort.
Fatalis update changed nativePC loading. It now loads all filetypes in nativePC and we don't need the loader anymore. You only need the loader for custom quests (not quest replacers), custom monsters (not replacers), or plugins.
