Great Mod. Makes up for not having Diversification / Variety / EGM for LE2. but it is far from perfect. its a bit cluttered, add some ambient echos that aren't properly mixed so can be a bit overwhelming, distracting and downright annoying. can cause minor migraines if using headphones. trying to turn it off using the ambient noise button has no effect. this mod is also only PARTIALLY supported by controller. Mod creator seems to be inactive now and the mod is probably abandoned so this is probably the best we can get. but considering none of the big 3 are available for LE2, and the SHEER AMOUNT of work required for a mod this big, its great.
if mod creator returns : in addition to fixing the bugs and controller support, would it be at all possible to add Crew positions like in EGM, so you can choose your marine officer, XO, etc from your squad. just as a small flavor addition?
Great mod, love the depth you've put into it, but it seems to have completely removed the music when I have the Galactic Map open, and changing ship ambience settings has no effect. Please advise.
it looks like the mod dev is back active they just updated another one of their mods recently so these are probably huge amount of dev time to make these
I like the idea but there's just too much clutter all over the place. Considering this hasn't been updated in a year and a half at this point, I doubt this will ever get updated.
Hey mate, I think this mod is really cool even now, when it's not finished, but the only thing I really don't like is datapads. Text in it have no sence like if it was written by a chat gpt and no one fixed it afterwards. But anyway, I absolutely adores how lively Normandy feels with it :)
So to be clear based on others comments. this mod is not compatible if you play with a controller. Judging from the lack of updates it probably never will be either. Seems like a waste but ok moving on
I just started the game and havent gone past getting Garus at omega. My crew terminal doesnt have anything in it for me to interact with. Do we unlock hirable people as the game progresses or is my mod broken?
I found out how to do it, had to scroll down to see the master crew to hire, haha lol was so focused on finding it, i overlooked the scroll bar on the list of hires
I love this mod. Incomplete and I dont care. My Garrus romancing FemShep loves the idea of filling the SR2 with non Cerberus crew members and defenses. The added noises, all the new bodies standing around, the furniture, all great. The data pad entries have great stories but feel like they all have the same "diary or memoir addressing the reader as not the writer" and a lot of team building positivity. It can make them a lil repetitive but the hole they fill in character lore is worth it.
I don't know if this is abandoned or not but what it has got is complete enough to satisfy that feeling of ownership over the Normandy SR2 (whether you go full Cerberus crew or alien) and a deeper connection to your main crew (Even Dr. Chakwas and Joker have datapads). And every NPC that you'll never interact with has a full on biography explaining why they are there. The only real downside are the number of new menus to understand (that one that requires needing a mouse to do all the crew hiring being the biggest issue) and that there are so many datapads lying about ready to go flying if the ships gravity ever failed.
My only real suggestion is reducing 2 problems to 1 by removing the datapads and turning them into new clickable objects with logs to scroll through. The number of new menus from vanilla (that are accessible) aren't overwhelming or cluttery, make sense where they are located, and they all work as intended. may as well add a few more strategically placed mailboxes or something (one nearby each npc that has entries) to not have to click through 30+ datapads.
I give this an 8/10 with the only reason its not a perfect score is the author hasn't finished it yet it doesn't need to be to feel finished and satisfy. Mass Effect Legendary Vanilla has so many open, boring spaces in it that it could drive people crazy. This mod doesn't need to be finished to fill a void most people dont notice or care about until after they see it.
