For those of you who would like a breakdown of head morph in legendary edition, I have written an article. Even if you do not use this mod, I hope it will still be helpful!

    Edit 7 June 2021:
Texture modding is now available for MELE! If you use a texture mod, you will get the best use of it by making your norms and diffs match in the vector parameters. Pictured here is Steve and Shep with Ellise's textures for the OT.

    To get this look I changed [HED_Scalp_Diff: BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROShepard.HMF_HED_PROShepard_Scalp_Diff], [HED_Diff: BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROShepard.HMF_HED_PROShepard_Face_Diff], [HED_Brow: BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.Base.HMF_HED_PROCustom_Blank_Norm] and [HED_Addn: BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.Base.HMF_HED_PROCustom_Blank_Norm] since her brows are baked in.

Hey man.  Just wanna say this is, in my opinion, the best 'iconic' Femshep headmorph on this website.

I made a few subtle edits in the save editor (added a couple of small scars, and made the hair a smidge redder), and I think she's close to perfect now.

Other headmorphs keep too much makeup on her.  Still others are very 'wide-eyed,' which is attractive looking, but FemShep is no wide-eyed girl, you know? She's a hardened soldier. Your headmorph can both smirk and glare, which I think is quite important for FemShep (lol).

Later I might look into making her lips a bit less red, and maybe reducing her blush a smidge.  But those are small things.

Also, your guide for making adjustments in the save editor is hyper useful. Thanks for that, too. :)

Thank you for this, I'm not sure what it is about default FemShep, but I just can't play with her; she looks... cartoonish.

I'm sure a lot of people love her, but I've never been able to play with her either. The concept art is so good. Her proportions are just a tiny bit off and I think she does land cartoony.

I've noticed when using the head morph with the default Shepard hair there's some minor clipping in the upper right (looking head on) of her head where the scalp is. Is there anything that can be done about this, or is this just a draw back of face morphs with non CC hair? I know making face morphs is a pain in the ass, I've looked into it and I really don't know how you guys do it.

      Thanks!

I have uploaded an updated version for you that has hopefully improved that spot. That wasn't too bad to fix. What was bad was trying to fix nonexistent clipping in ME3 because I didn't notice that the bang meshes are different between the games. Alas!

You're not wrong.  Default Femshep's hair color is unnatural and only possible with hair dye, and for a front-line soldier, she's got a silly amount of eye and lip makeup. Default Femshep looks like she's cosplaying herself.

Am I doing something wrong? I followed your instructions but every time I try to load a save that has the head morph applied, my game crashes back to the main menu. If I disable the morph, I can load the save fine again. This happens with a manual save as well as a chapter save.

I downloaded my 1.1.3 head morphs and checked each one in game because you didn't specify which game you were having trouble with. I can confirm that the problem isn't on my end. :)

Now: From my experience, the hard crash comes from loading a morph into the wrong game. Make sure the game number matches the morph number. me2 mesh will not load in me3 and vice versa. If this information helps, you're good to go.

If you're still having problems, please tell me:
      1) Which game and which morph.
      2) When you say disable the morph, do you mean you are ticking the box to turn off head morphs and then resaving, or loading a backed up version of your save?
      3) Can you make a test morph of your own? Presuming you have a character creator face saved (or want to make one) try making a small change to that face. Eye color is easy to see, under vector parameters. (You can check my article for information on that.) Export your test face from save editor, then try loading the *.ron onto your problem save. If you see your small change represented, you'll at least know you're loading morphs correctly.

Oh, thanks for the effort! Because I downloaded it again and this time it worked fine. Whatever it was, it's working now.
She looks gorgeous, well done on the morph. :-)

Small note, there's these weird shadows on the forehead over her right eye.  Not sure what's causing that

Hi! Can you check that you have the latest version? An earlier release had a shadow introduced when I was trying to improve mesh clipping. I believed I had that fixed. If you do have the latest version, please tell me which morph is causing the problem, and PM me a screenshot if you're able.

Just wanted to ask a quick question about adding the illusive man eyes for me3.

I added the Emis_Color to vector_parameters, and EYE_Diff/EYE_Spec to texture_parameters, and copy+pasted what you noted in your article, but I've still got the normal eyes, any idea what the issue could be?

    Thanks.

Sorry for not testing that the method is exactly the same between games! For ME3, add Emis_Scalar (value 0.7 for subtle, up to 3.00 for extreme glow) to the bottom of Scalar Parameters. I will update my guide accordingly. Thanks for the catch!

I added the classic mesh to my ME3 save and it looks great. No clipping noticeable. Thanks!

Great to hear it! It's a bit of a labour to change all of those LOD0s for that mesh, especially three times over. Enjoy the game!

    Great work.
I was unclear about your directions. but I can't use the classic version if I am trying to replcace an existing save game, correct?

You can use either version! I was just warning that classic hair version is 'married' to her hair mesh. You could still change the color of that if you wanted. New's head shape can use any of the hair meshes available in creator.

Actually, I must have been tired when I was testing; I was mistaken in my initial instructions. With this sleek new version of save editor you can load this head over a "default" save head, not just a player made head. I just tried that again in ME2 and ME3.
