September 2019 status: no high resolution MEM update along the lines of those for the ME1 and ME2 versions is currently in progress, or even scheduled, for the time being.

I intend to get to it at an undetermined future time.

I don't understand the difference between EDI's textures. In one screenshot it looks like her body is just a black void -- something I dislike -- but I enjoy the outfit in the other screenshot. Is it a pick and choose, or what? The description didn't clear it up for me at all.

Ok, so EDI is available as a squadmate in ME3.

Like in ME2, in ME3's squad selection menu, you can cycle the appearances of the squadmates between their default outfits and their alternate outfits.

EDI's default appearance in ME3 is a robot body without an outfit (see reference). So, what you call the 'black void' is the replacement corresponding to that default appearance.

Further, EDI's default appearance in the squadmate selection menu has correspondingly been replaced with the EDI hologram from ME2.

Next, we have EDI's alternate appearance (which includes an outfit over the robot body). The replacement for the alternate appearance is what you can see in the other screenshot(s).

So, you will get replacements for both, the default appearance and the alternate appearance, and you can choose the one you want to see in the game from the squadmate selection menu (once EDI becomes accessible to you in that menu).

    Hope that clears everything up.

It does, thank you! One more question: if I were to launch ME3 without going through the texmod steps, would it just launch without the textures or would it crash/freeze/some other problem? I've never used texmod before.

And is TRAM compatible with ALOT? I tried it with ME2 and the two didn't work together, so I'm hoping it will this time.

Texmod does not make any changes to your game installation/game progress/saved games, so you can always launch the game without going through the Texmod steps to have it run in its original appearance without any problems.

This mod is not strictly compatible with 'a lot'. While I have not actually tested the two together, I'd expect trouble based on the discrepancies in resolutions, if nothing else. So, sorry to disappoint, but like with ME2, although workarounds are possible, I would recommend general users to just choose one mod or the other.

Oh cool. A Puritan mod!! I kid. Of course people are going to give you crap for this. I read through some of the comments but I'm still not clear on why you haven't converted these into individual DLCs for user-convenience. I wouldn't mind selectively using some of these. It's much easier with the MM to activate/deactivate mods that go rogue then to have to reinstall/repair your game if something goes wrong.

Btw you should totally rename this to TRAMP (The Respectable Attire Mod Pack) if you rework the files. Gamers love irony.

^ Yes, and change my username to sleazonaut while I'm at it.

Simply put, I am currently 100% burned out on Mass Effect (and have been for some time now), so no updates have happened or probably will happen with these TRAM texture mods in the near future. I don't even have ME3 installed at present.

Fortunately, it should be simple for users to customise the tpf in this mod to get exactly what they want, with just a little bit of research on how TexMod files can be unpacked, assembled etc. Good luck, and enjoy your game!

Nicely done! Must've been a lot of work to replace all those textures. I probably won't use every texture since I'm okay with most vanilla ones, but some of these (like Allers' ) are definately a huge improvement.

Also, guys, don't be an arse and bash someone's work just because you don't personally agree with it. Don't like, don't download. Simple as that.

Thanks and yup, feels like it takes ages to get everything done, more so for a slowpoke like me. Will hopefully have updated versions of TRAM released for all three games eventually (which should add modular support for the ME3 version). Right now, working on updating the ME1 version (mainly to add MEUITM compatibility), which should be released fairly soon.

Is it possible to use parts of this mod and not others? I really like the look of Diana and Jack, but the original designs of the others don't bother me

Yes, it is possible with a little extraction and repackaging, if you can figure out the editing of .tpf files. I've been sleeping on doing a modular version, so for now, that's the only way.

I understand and like the idea, would even use the mod if better quality.
But your wording I guess, makes it seem very femminazi.
Implying Bioware failed to depict women just because they show a little skin and #EverythingIsProblematic. xd

Well, I reviewed the wording and couldn't see the need for a change, or anything overly excessive about it. It is quite literal about the purpose of the mod, so maybe this one just isn't for you.

I actually like my characters covered. ^^
Again, would use it if the quality was better.

'shortcomings in the depiction of NPC women' and 'problematic texture files' (in the hot files description)
Are really the only ones I found, again, implying they failed in being women just because they're hot/show skin. ^^

That is definitely not the implication to be drawn. I mean no offense, but perhaps English may not be your first language?

To clarify the wording: in my opinion, the default presentation of the relevant female NPCs in ME3 is exploitative, and the associated texture files have therefore later been referred to as problematic. It is my personal preference not to have NPCs represented this way and this mod seeks to address that. It also covers two male texture files. There is no further agenda.

This mod is an interesting idea, but the name is rather off-putting. Yes, women should be portrayed as more than just objects, but just because a person looks like they are in mourning, does not mean that they are necessarily respectable.

As for the the mod itself, its execution needs a little work. By implementing some of the modest clothing you verge on breaking a role-play aspect of the game. Why would brooks be covered head to toe to go to a casino? Or why would male Shepard need a shirt after having sex with someone, (femshep too for that matter). That is just my opinion though, and something you may want to keep in mind while developing the mod (the same thing nude/scantily clad mods neglect).

If a potential user feels like there's anything 'disrespectable' about the outfits, or if the work is not to their liking, they may feel free to not use this mod. I don't think there's anything wrong with the name myself.

And, on the contrary, I think it only increases the role-play aspect of the game. RE Brooks: that might be what the player believes the character would choose/desire to wear. Granted, it would have been nicer to have more variation in the texture and I'm open to doing an updated version if someone can share a better realised version of it, as the current one really is quite dull. RE: Shepard: That Shepard might simply be unromanced.

I wouldn't call this a saudi version exactly. I'm fine with some skin showing on outfits if it's done well but well in ME's case usually - not really. These make the game look so much more professional, or the characters even, and frankly like a different game. Not about to test it out right now because I haven't felt like ME3'ing for a while.

I just wonder would there be a way to get this as modular downloads, I kind of want to mix and match, like with Allers, I prefer the modest allers mod (seems to dark for me here) Ede too, prefer the science uniform (not sure if its in your mod as one screenshoot shows her in her default one with black skin and the other with the modded alternative outfit. (not sure what the character select is from (ede in the hologram version) Darth Liara might be a good change, (but I never saw anything wrong with liara, since she doesn't show any skin) Jack's outfit seems ok, but I'd still prefer AVPen take on her, Love the Miranda outfit, it fit perfect with her, I think its actually a major improvement, Samara's outfit change would make more sense, if she was wearing her alternative black armor, Maya's black diving suit and skirt would kind of stand out at a casino party.
Other then that, I apperciate this kind of mod. I've always thought that it deminishes the female char (and the male ones) if they're half naked or showing alot of cleveage (like jack covered in tape at an academy).

I'm a fan of all those mods mamorak. If I didn't run into some consistency issues, or compatability issues with them (particularly with the controller mod), I'd have just recommended those (like I have for Miranda's armors for example), instead of taking a stab at modding them myself.

About EDI, the 'Mod contents' in the description should hopefully answer your question. About Liara, you're right about the default; the mod is meant more to work around the model's proportions.

While I won't be making more changes to the present textures for now, I do think youv'e made a case for the modular thing, and that upload could happen at a future point. For now though, it would be quickest to just repackage stuff for yourself as you want to (the files in the TPF are all unprotected and clearly labeled to facilitate this), if you can figure out, or already know how, to do so. Good luck and enjoy!

It makes a change from the mods that do the complete opposite. I respect what you've done although I don't mind the original designs, in fact I quite like them. But you've improved the game for yourself and others like you, and that's what modding is all about.
