What would really make sense to me is that the movie only plays if you actually going somewhere else or are returning like in ME1. Sometimes I board the Normandy to use the lab for upgrades between missions on Ilium and other places (Omega comes to mind). It's not like I have to leave the planet to do that.
Now that ME2Recalibrated as well as a bunch of other mods from the same author no longer exist, I'm glad a separate version of this mod still exists here.
Now superceded by ME2Recalibrated, but just wanted to report it worked beautifully for me on my last playthrough and was a really nice little addition. Thankyou!
Thanks. And I saw your comment about Just Talking for a Bit as well. Yeah, I think most people will want ME2Recalibrated at this point; I know I will be.
I'm glad this options is available. While recalibrated sounds great, it sounds too complicated for my non technical self to install properly. So I will settle for the smaller individual changes like this one.
hi, can you make this mod for mass effect 3, so that every time the video of arrival at the citadel is launched, and then once it is shown and there is no more, I will be very grateful to you.
Does this mod edit the Coalesced.ini file? I have a few other mods that do (they have compatibility versions for one another though) and I'm concerned that dropping this and then those things on top (or in the reverse fashion) will break things because the edits aren't merged... they'd be overwritten I had also already installed this mod and those mods before I realized this
You have no idea how much I appreciate this type of mod. I was missing this cutscene and you do not realize how pleased I was to see this modification. Little things enjoy most. Thank you very much !
It's making sure that the game path is correct before letting you install by checking for a core game file. The default directory it "guesses" may not be your install directory. Go confirm where you have Mass Effect 2 installed. If you still have trouble, let me know if you have ME2 on Origin or Steam.
So I installed your mod during a playthrough of my Mass Effect 2 and it works perfectly since it plays every time I go back to Illium immediately after selecting the squad to bring with me to the place (meaning I DID NOT have the mod installed during the first time I went to Illium and only installed it in a time after the fact that I already visited Illium for this playthrough). Then I went on for another playthrough (with the mod still installed of course althroughout, like, I never removed/tweaked anything related to it.It just remained there from the first time I installed it all the way to until now.). In this next playthrough, the first time I went to Illium, it played.
Then after that, I left Illium and went back to test if still works.IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE. I went back-and-forth and back-and-forth to Illium and it doesn't play anymore...just straight to me being on foot with my squad in Illium. Pls. address this. Thanks
If you go to the <Mass Effect 2 install directory>\Binaries folder, do you have both binkw32.dll and binkw23.dll? And if so, is the binkw32.dll only 17kb? That's my first guess as to why the mod isn't active right now. As long as that dll patch is in place and DLC_EXP_ILMM in in your DLC folder, it should work as there isn't much that should go wrong with it.
Cool. I have been debating doing that since there are a lot of mods out there now and it's not too difficult for a player to troubleshoot if they have a few basic concepts. It'll be a while until I can do that but it's on the radar.

When I try to install the mod the install button stays gray when I select the install directory. Can you please help

Delete any binkw32 and binkw23 dll files in the Mass Effect 2 install directory>\Binaries folder.
Reinstall ILMM (this will automatically delete the existing installation and setup the dll files)
Double check that both binkw32 and binkw23 are present. The 32 should be about 17kb and the 23 should be 167kb.
Now see if the mod works.
You may want to include an FAQ for fixes (like my situation here) in the description of this mod. Just my suggestion
