A code fix to ensure that in cutscenes Shepard and the Squad use their own carried rifle or pistol instead of the default Avenger or Predator respectively.

Weapons Cutscene Fix for ME2

A simple code fix to make sure that Shepard and the Squad use their carried pistol or rifle (if available) instead of the default Avenger or Predator.  Code ported from EGM LE3.

How it works:

If the scene is animated to use a certain type weapons then it will use the custom weapons as the animator has designed.

- If the scene uses a default pistol, then Shepard and the squad will use a Heavy Pistol if they are carrying one, if not they will use their SMG.  If they have neither they will use the default pistol.
- If the scene uses a default rifle, they will use their Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle or Shotgun, in that order of preference.  If none of those are carried it will use the default.

What it won't do: have Shepard wield a Widow Sniper Rifle as if it is a pistol - it respects the animation setup.


Note there are 3 scenes where Bioware has vanilla errors (basically unequipping and equipping weapons in the same instant):  when Garrus says "Let's check what they are doing" during the rescue scene, Elnora the Asari merc and the Collector Weapons selection scene. All are fixed in the English INT versions, but only the Collector weapon scene is fixed for other languages.

Installation:

Drop onto or Download directly into M3 Mod Manager and Apply.

Important - use the most up to date version of mod manager (v7.0.3 or higher). This is a requirement.

Uninstallation - in Mod Manager click Manage Target and choose Basegame files. Select SFXGame and "Restore".  Select DLC and remove "EGM Fix Weapons in Cutscenes".
