A note before digging in:

This specific edit has been formatted for 3440x1440 specifically and will run great. I have not tested 2560x1080, but from having modded the files, I can tell you there will be some oddities, most of which will include elements that are on the right to likely appear slightly off screen. ((I haven't heard of anything being off enough to make a difference, and no one has stated specifically that it does look weird, so I'm assuming it's ok))

READ ALL THE DIRECTIONS! Power armor requires an ini file edit!

First thing's first, the creation of Fallout76Custom.ini. Go to C:\Users\******\Documents\my games\Fallout 76
Create a new file named Fallout76Custom.ini and add in:

fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateY=265   << This setting is REQUIRED (power armor UI will look bad without it)

{{ You no longer need to edit TranslateZ (most likely)! My translate setting is for those using fDefaultFOV=80 under [Display]. If you set it to 90, you'll probably want 270. If you haven't changed it, you should probably use 260. In the case you haven't edited that particular FOV setting, you may need to also set fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateZ=1, however this shouldn't be necessary unless your compass clips the bottom of the screen. }}

Go to Fallout76prefs.ini file and set it to READ-ONLY. I recommend accomplishing this step only after you've set all your in-game settings, as locking the Fallout76Prefs.ini file will lock out any control edits. (I don't know why this is, as the controls are saved elsewhere...)

Baka Installation:
1. Get the Baka File loader mod here: Baka File Loader
3. Use Baka tool install instructions to create the new archive files.
3(a). Go to settings tab and checkmark 'Copy Files after Packing' (Only needs to be done once, simplifies install, return to Tool main page)
4. Refresh archive after file placement.
5. Hit create archive.

You're done! Enjoy Fallout76 in ultrawide.

A few extra mods I feel you should nab for the best 21:9 experience. Turns out, Fallout 4 files that correspond to the same files in 76 will actually work (can't edit 76 direct, but it recognizes and will use 4's). So here's some from both sides:

Baka File Tool < For all those mods to install.
BSA Browser < For extracting the mod files from .ba2 files. Made for FO4, but works fine for FO76. (Does not retain folder structure, so make sure that you fix that!)
No shaded Power Armor hud < This removes the shaded border around the power armor hud.
Clean Power Armor HUD < Removes the power armor hud texture, leaving only the dials and compass.
PA Rainbox HUD FIX < Removes the shading around the rainbox while in power amor (options for rain still with no shade, or no rain at all)

Delete scopemenu.swf before installation as scopemenu.swf is deprecated, and no longer in use.
Fallout76Custom.ini archive loadout has changed, make sure to update your ini file:

REPEAT OF PREVIOUS VERSION. Ground zero, rewrite, delete old, etc. Down to only 11 menus to change. w00t.

Version 5: Updated to FO76 Version
Cleaned up mod and removed unnecessary files.
Ground zero rebuild of the mod, almost all files rebuilt from game's most current files. Make sure to remove the old files!

Version 4.2:
Fixed Atom Shop menu
Fixed perk pack opening (should be properly aligned now)
Multiple updates due to some micro changes by bethesda. Some menus were given 21x9 support, but it's not fully implemented yet.

Version 4.1: Updated to FO76 Version
Fixed the Perksmenu
(Beth didn't change almost anything in the hud, however there are signs of true support in the background. For now, all my changes still work, save for the perksmenu which is now updated. For now, we'll have to wait for official 21x9, but my mod will continue to be updated for support of those of us needing it.)

Version 4:
Changes made to the power armor! Now should no longer interfere with the quickboy menu outside of power armor. MAKE SURE TO SET fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateY=XXX 

Version 3.6:
Update to support FO76 ver

Version 3.5:
Now includes a fix for the item models! (Thank you Truby9 for FO4. I did snag the specific fix from there, but it's edited to remove the background from the model. Go support his mod!) Still can't shift the model, appears to be .nif related, and I have basically no experience there.
Minor tweaks all around.

Version 3.4:
Fixed Selfie menu. (it hurt. a lot)
-Rescaled Keypad overlay to better fit.
-Tweaks to the start menu. Character page will now also show your character's pic in glorious 21:9.
-Somehow resized the item view-model to be bigger than what it was. For some reason it looks truer to size than it did, but it's way bigger than I feel it should be. I have no clue how to fix that, so legendary pickups will take up a huge part of the screen. I've been trying to shift legendary view-model to the right, roughly halfway to the edge so that it's not in your direct line of sight on pickup, but that's just how it's gonna be I guess. It does look better, but bigger.

Version 3.3 is out, many menu elements updated and cleaned up, the main menu should have a better functioning atom shop menu now, and I've added in the keypad menu, hopefully better sized (the key highlights were all off, but the keypad functioned otherwise as intended). 

Version 3.2d fixes the Challenge flyout! (finally) Couple other menu changes, changing the challenge's menu in the 'pause' menu to be far left. Unless something else major pops up, it's gonna be a while before there's another update. Challenge flyout was the last thing I could find. I've tried modifying the photomode to stretch the frames as well, but they won't stretch for whatever reason. It's not something I'm going to be able to fix, even with screwy tweaks, as it won't change the size. I'll continue trying, but don't hold out hope for the frames.

Version 3.2c includes a fix for purchase box. Same issue as scrapping.

Version 3.2b is out, Challenge flyout still bugged, and I can't seem to fix it. I really don't know why. I did manage to fix the scrapping confirmation menu, although that one honestly didn't make sense. I had to displace the box as I saw it in the editor to fix it in game (seems to be a bug on Bethesda's end, I don't know why it's like that). A few minor edits otherwise (small enough that I can't remember what I did. :P )

Version 3.2a is out, now containing fixes for the Challenges flyout, Photomode, HUDMenu, and the crafting menu (sneaky bethesda hiding it in examinemenu.swf....). This should cover all possible base menus for Fallout 76, and is complete. Excluding bugfixes.
