Installation
Installation is as simple as it gets. You can use a mod manager (like Vortex) or simply extract the downloaded zip file into the Fallout 76 Data folder.
No need to edit any .ini files.
If you are having any issues with installation, please consult the Troubleshooting section
Compatibility
This mod is not compatible with other mods that modify strings.
If you need to customize the strings, or run this mod alongside another string mod, please consult the Advanced Installation methods section.
Troubleshooting
1. Confirm that your game is in English. This mod will only work when English language is selected.
2. Confirm that you have items that are being tagged.
If you are not sure you have any rare/valuable items, you can test the mod by going to a vendor with guaranteed tagged items. Check one of the below vendors:
- Samuel at Foundation
- Mortimer at the Crater
- Regs in Vault 79
- Giuseppe in the Whitespring Refuge
They all sell items that are untradeable, and thus always marked as such (Atom shop icon). If the items in those vendors are not showing a special icon, you need to check that you installed the mod correctly.
3. Confirm that the files are extracted in the correct place. Below are some defaults, for each PC platform:
Steam: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout76
XBox GamePass: C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\Fallout76
You should now have a "strings" directory inside the "Data" directory, containing three files:
SeventySix_en.STRINGS
SeventySix_en.ILSTRINGS
SeventySix_en.DLSTRINGS
Details
This mod adds symbols to items, to indicate value, as well as text tags to indicate source of the item, as per below:

DISCLAIMER ON PRICING: I do not want to get involved with pricing and market tracking myself, hence I use The Plans Collectors' pricing as-is. If something changes there and it is not reflected in my mod, then feel free to let me know. Beyond that, I do not want to re-interpret pricing when such a dedicated group is already doing an amazing job at it
