Overview

This mod is inspired by Zorkaz' Louder Waves and inturn adds an adaptive sound compound file which alters the attentuation based on the distant to the coastal wave. Thus, creating a unique and very realistic coean feeling. The waves sound will attentuate up to a range of 15000, this is close to the Acadia mountain. The technique used is almost equal to any weapon or explosive in the distance. Yet it is very rarely used on ambient effects in this way.

The magic will happen throught the entire island at Far Habor. It can be added to the vanilla game also. But requires further manual adjustment and thus was skipped at this point. So only Far Habor will feature adaptive wave sounds for now.

By default the game was missing the Layer DLC03AMBWaterExteriorCoastWavesBLP [SNDR:03049B8C] descriptor for distant sound file.

If you have any ideas fire into the post section, not all areas on the island are yet perfectly covered, since this mod only touches the object references of the vanilla game.

Installation

This mod can be in-/unstalled anytime and does not require a new game to work.

It will be loaded on the beginning of your load order.

The plugin is ESM/ESL-flagged, don't count against normal ESP/ESM limit.

This mod does not affect (Pre-)Combined meshes or Pre Vis data.

Compatibility

This mod works with both, the Old- and Next-Gen update. For third party mods ask the author of the mod of interest.

This mod is not compatible with any mod editing the sound descriptors, you may check for yourself using xEdit.

Technical Issues

- It rarely happens, due to the nature of the game, sound files may trigger multiple times based on the placed wave objects and this might cause a slight distortion, overlap of the sound file - NOTE: This should be fixed in version 002
