I love this idea. As you can see by my profile, I'm all about the diver suit. Would it be possible to add a patch to be like the Improved Diver Suit mod as far as stats?  As that modder points out, it makes more sense to have higher stats like the other end-game legendary armors.  I've aways wanted to modify it, though, like what's given in your mod.  Be awesome if I didn't have to choose between high defense or mod-ability.

Any reason for making a new Magic Effect record for Waterbreathing when one already exists in the base game? EditorID is: AbWaterbreathing. As long as you're ok with permissions, I'm considering adding this into Community Tweaks Merged, but I tend to save record space, following developer motto of DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself).

I use the enchantment to add a hidden perk. And from the perk I add the water breathing ability. But the main purpose of the perk is radiation protection like aquaboy perk and the hazmat suit(only not as strong). You are welcome to include whatever you like.

Right, the perk is still needed. It's the duplicate Magic Effect that I was asking about.
I'll use the original Magic Effect record and everything else looks great. Thanks!

Honestly I can't remember. Maybe I was checking out the flags or something, I don't know. Perhaps you can use the same magic effect to add the perk and add waterbreathing actor value. That way you can skip one magic effect and one spell. I haven't thought of this before so I haven't tested.

Either way, love the mod. It's practically a fix to what it was before.

Every time I try to equip the dive suit, it turns invisible. Not sure why or how to fix.

I think it's because of the plugin overrides and the suit already being in your possession. Try with constructing the headlamp.

Thanks for the tip. I eventually got it working by dropping it and reloading.

In case you are new to modding - Howto: Enable Modding - Archive Invalidation.

The outfit is rewarded by Captain Avery after completing The Changing Tide.
In other words, it's a quest reward from the Far Harbor DLC.

If you can't see the modifications on the armor workbench, then another mod in your load order is overriding the diver suit records.

robotized the logo at the back of the helmet looks awesome:
I tried to make it rusty here and there, less pristine looking. Even with some obstruction at the bottom, I still think this is a good place for a logo.

Please keep the metal logo on the front like this:
I was experimenting with textured pattern for the poseidon logo, to make it not look smooth. I agree the other one looks better, the source is an actual photo after all. If I find any way to make the poseidon logo close to that look, I will update it. For now it will do the job as alternative. :)

Nah, I don't want to bother people. :) I did an attempt to make a different worn and rusty look. You can check it out, update is uploaded.

The textures look more than good enough, i like them. What i have a problem with is the details of that metal part on the back of the armor, its to blurry compared to the texture details you placed on top of it, in this case the logo is much higher quality. In comparison it doesnt look good.

The metal logo instead fits much better.

I would say we need someone who is polishing the entire diver suit textures. ;) :)

To sum it up, your mod does all i need, adds lights and fixed some other shit. I personally do not need those new textures, these are nice to have but not required (for myself), but i still want to give you feedback on these ;)

As for the glass on the helmet, glass in FO4 looks horrible. Since BGS refers to weird cubemaps. The problem is the textures tied to the glass. I recommend to remove them by playing around in the material editor, and refer to none or other cubemaps. This way you can make perfect transparent glass. Im limited in t ime for testing, so you might have done that already.

I never intended to make the visor fully transparent or shiny, but again to give it a little dirty and worn look(or perhaps a bit foggy look). And yeah, it's difficult to make it look like actual glass, different cube maps have different effect. Anyways, about the logo, yes, it does seem to stick out a bit as more detailed. I was afraid if I go lower resolution, it would lose too much detail, but maybe that's what it needs. May test it later.

Alright, I made another attempt with lower resolution. I think it's a bit better and more inline with the look of the suit.

I love what you have done with this mod.
This has become my default armor (I always found the aqua boy perk very OP)

I'm glad you like it. I'm think about adding more things:

      • Reduced stagger - same as the Pneumatic armor mod. This will help especially when facing targets with Gamma guns.
      • Reduce explosion damage - just 5% less effective than the Padded armor mod.
Do you think it will be too much? :)

Actually I decided to add those. In my opinion, it will not make the armor too op.

There should be more underwater areas in this game, there's barely any reason to go diving anywhere, even in Far Harbor, which makes the diving suit about as useful as the Aquaboy perk. At least it looks cool, though.

You know what, that's an idea. Next update I'll try to make the suit as useful as the Aquaboy perk - completely negating rad damage while in the water. :)
