About this mod

A collection of lore-friendly tweaks to make Fallout 4 feel more in line with older Fallout games.

First off, these are kind of head-canony, but if you don't agree, feel free to make your own version instead of leaving a comment screeching about how my edits are not "lore friendly". I will allow comments that are created for constructive debate, otherwise, don't download and don't comment and move on with your life.

On a slightly unrelated note: Check out Classic Power Armor Training! (not sponsored, just want to shout out this mod)

Jet Tweak
Spoiler:
Show

Changes a terminal entry in Dr. Reid's terminal in the Vault-Tec Regional HQ to state they only sent Psycho to Vault 95, instead of Psycho AND Jet. This is to keep in line with Myron's claims of inventing Jet in Fallout 2, set in 2241. This also changes all placed instances of Jet in Vault 95 to Psycho (there were nine instances of Jet, i believe).

Version 1.1 replaces two instances of Jet in Pre-War retirement homes with Day Tripper (a sedative).

T-60 Tweak
Spoiler:
Show

Edited the loading screen to state that the T-60 was created just days before the Great War. I swapped the T-51 and T-60 base armor ratings (models B through F will work as intended). The reason why is to preserve the statement that the T-51 was the pinnacle of Power Armor before the Great War.

Canonically Fort Strong was where the T-51b armor was sent out to the war-front in 2076, therefore it'd make sense they would have the T-60 schematics, which would be shared around with the important federal locations like Washington, West Virginia, et cetera. For immersion sake, just imagine the Gunners, Atom Cats, and Brotherhood of Steel all found designs sometime after the events of Fallout 3, to explain why it's not in D.C. at all (Fallout 76 is non-canon for all intents and purposes, will not entertain any debates involving lore originating after Fallout 4. If Bethesda can retcon lore in future installments, I can retcon lore in future installments :P)

If I'm asked, I'll consider making a version for Brotherhood of Steel soldiers to return to T-45 and T-51 (although BPAO does this already, I will tweak it to make it more like the version I envisioned where T-60 is only found in military-related locations, and X-01 in Nuka-World).

Version 1.1 replaces the pre-war soldiers in T-60 power armor with T-45 power armor (I use a fast start mod but for those who don't lol)

Version 1.2 requires CPAO, but changes the Atom Cats T-60 power armor to T-45 (includes Rowdy). This doesn't remove any power armor frames, I left that to SPARS. This also replaces T-51 and T-60 pieces from Tessa and Clint with T-45. There is a Gunner wearing T-60 power armor at the entrance to the Nuka-World DLC, but I'm going to keep him as is as he makes more sense wearing it as this is a powerful group of Gunners (there is an assaultron and a Fat Man user)

Version 1.3 splits the lore fix into versions, one with CPAO and one without. They have the same changes except for the Atom Cats using T-45 instead of T-60 in the CPAO version. Both versions incorporate the changes to Tessa and Clint, and the X-01 power armor helmet in the Prydwyn armory has been removed.

I have my own version of CPAO I use, uploaded in the Files tab, as an ESP replacer (meaning you need the original mod's materials/textures/meshes). It reverts the changes to the unaltered power armor textures.

Caps Tweak
Spoiler:
Show

This replaces the Tire Iron by the dead raider and dog leaving Sanctuary with a note explaining that caps are now the currency. I'm not an amazing writer, so the note is a bit bare-bones but if you have a better idea of what I should replace it with, let me know.

Fusion Core Tweak
Spoiler:
Show

This mod combines the Infinite Fusion Core (which makes fusion cores not drain in power armor) and replaces all 50% cores (like the one in the Minutemen Museum of Freedom with full cores. If you just want the infinite fusion core, use this mod instead. Since it builds upon that mod, it is not needed if you use this mod.

When Freedom Calls
Spoiler:
Show

This mod has two versions, the main version (1a) and my personal edit (1b). The main version changes the T-45 power armor on the roof to be fully repaired, in line with Sturges' statement that it's "cherry T-45".

My personal edit makes two additional changes.
- The fusion core in the basement is changed to a full power core.
- The minigun spawns with 1000 5mm rounds instead of 1200 (I like round numbers :P)

More might be added soon, depending if there's any other tweaks I want to make.
