i might use this in a shipyard of the mod im working on which is a military depot with a small port for naval vessels. Thanks for sharing... Also note... If you import the main model into 3ds you could have added the splines there.... and export them after as a separate model by basically using the main model as a mold... and finally pasting the splines in nifskope after they have been through elrich to the main model..... Same applies to the stairs but in reverse... Use the stairs as a template to make your landings, rails etc in 3ds . Apply collision to everything except the stairs and again export the model but WITHOUT the stairs . Then after your model has been through elrich you can add the stairs in nifskope from the vanilla game... Here is an example of that process that i used on a tall guard tower where stairs where added after..
that's what i did initially but got tired putting numbers in the axes trying to correctly position the stairs lol so i just did it in the CK and SCOLed it and extracted
just a tip... Always start your scols at 0, 0, 0, rotation so that everything is A LOT easier when you have to place stuff that needs simple 90,180,270, etc.. degree rotations... In the CK ofc its a lot easier to build a stack of stairs since all you need to do is line up the first pair and then simply duplicate and raise the pair...not to mention that in nifskope you need to rename each stair you use so you dont get the error and renaming filter..that basically F****s everything up... Hence ALWAYS have the auto sanitize unselected when dealing with scols especially...
