I have no idea how you came across that top one! I must have missed that for YEARS before I just simply decided to do it myself but yes, it's the same. I need to flesh it out like I said I would, I didn't realise it was still getting traction
the way WMM does it is that the music files have separate folders that are for situations or areas. like one folder is for when your in town and another is when your in combat or combat with specifically a boss.
So added music by renaming music I had to "MUS_Combat_04.xwm" 1-4 and so on. Doesn't seem to play even after putting the files in folder. Probably something simple I'm missing.
Looking forward to the video guide, I learn better with a visual guide anyway, since I'd like to add some of my own music library since I'm not happy with the music replacement mods on the Nexus, (Like there is like 24 pages in total and most are main menu or radio mods.).
I got this to work once before, but I can not remember how. I *think* you need to replace the music in your fallout folder with the ones made here but I can not say for sure. The file path listed in the Readme file doesnt even exist for me so I am trying to make a workaround on my end and I will post a reply if I can get it to work
Installation and Use instructions that worked for me:
Install this mod via Vortex. Install MultiXwm through the same
Convert whatever file you are seeking in the MultiXWM program. Create a folder called "music" in your data folder. Place the converted .XWM file in the music folder, ensure it follows the file naming pattern that the Readme states.
When you place the files in your Music folder, it should work. Mine works ever since.

EDIT: not quiet a replacement just a different way to do the same idea which wmm was loosely similar to https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13286/?
