About this mod

This mod is a plugin replacer with a few tweaks: nightstrikers will be easier to kill (optional file if you don't want that), pups will not spawn, plus a few minor edits.

Purpose

In my opinion, Nightstrikers is one of the best Creature mods made for Fallout 4. It adds creatures based on the Nightstalkers from Fallout: New Vegas with variants (Normal, Albino, Rabid, Den Mother and Glowing). You will find a new companion in a cellar and you will be able to craft dedicated armor on the Chemlab. You will also find new items, including food that you can cook. However, I had some tweaks in mind and I received permission to release them.

In order to use my plugin, you will need to install the main file from the original mod for the assets. Let my plugin overwrite the original plugin. The optional files from the original mod are at your discretion. The Dogmeat replacer is only a mesh and should be safe to use or ignore.

Description

To understand what my plugin does, please read the following: 

  • Pups were removed from the mod. They were essentially smaller Nightstrikers added for more variety. They were not hostile unless attacked and they didn't drop items because the mod author didn't want to encourage players to kill the pups. However, since the base game does not feature pups, I thought that the easier solution would be to remove them.
  • Nightstrikers were nerfed. I thought that their damage output was fine, but they felt like "bullet sponges" to me in my casual setup. They now have 3/4th of their original health with resistances reduced by half. EXP gained from killing them has been slightly reduced. Also of note, the Albino's health regen was reduced by half. Download the optional file if you want the original health and damage resistance values.
  • There was one deleted reference in the mod which led to broken precombines. That edit was removed. It means that you will now see a big forsythia plant near the added cabin, with the benefit of improved performance.
  • The "Nightstriker Armor" category was renamed to "NIGHTSTRIKER ARMOR". All caps, like the vanilla entries in the chemlab. Speaking of which, I moved the armors to the chemlab from the cooking station.

Additional Info

In two of my screenshots, you can see Dogs can grab player in action, which I recommend. Combined with their cloaking ability, it should make Nightstrikers challenging to fight despite my edits.

You can safely add Nightstrikers and my tweaks alongside Stand Alone Version UNPCs Creaturs and Monsters.
