I have added an optional file as per user request. With this file, Nightstrikers will be as tough as before. Health and damage resistance values are unchanged.
2022-08-08: The armors were moved to the Chemlab. I forgot that they were on the cooking station by default (why though).
It's welcome, but they are still way too tanky imo.
They are supposed to be "stalker" creature, that surprise opponent with lethal blow or in pack. You should have reduced a LOT more their HP, made them run in pack of 3-4, and be invisible aagain couple a sec after striking.
The old version nightstrikers absolutely were bullet sponges. You only had to run into the fixed spawn of them near Bedford Station at low level to know they were a problem. Eventually I uninstalled the mod because they were more trouble than they were worth. I'll reinstall it (and this mod) now and given them another shot.
Not for nothing, but it isn't the first way-too-tough mod added monster I've encountered. The Famished are another one, they don't hit too hard but they have Deathclaw health even when you run into them outside Abernathy Farm at level 2.
It would be cool if there was a Scourge patch for these. I have no idea how to do coding or I'd do it myself, but I was hoping to see if you could make one.
Thank you for your work. Do you know what it can be for me that the NS are shown as cockroaches? Without tweakas the NS look normal. I use the 4k version of the NS.
NPCs spawning as Radroaches is a known failsafe implemented by Bethesda if something goes wrong with spawns. This has not happened to me yet, and the only change I made to the leveled list is removing the pups from possible spawns.
Good question. I know of one mod that has spawns at night, Feral Nights by SKK, and I believe it is done through scripts. If there is an easier way, I'm all ears :)
