Is there a way to add the animation to the Frost gas masks? Because im currently playing Frost and all the gas masks that it adds dont have any animations.... and its really annoying lol. Thanks in advance.
For visibility: Due to how GMOW implements animations, where every mask is set in script for certain references, compatibility for other masks is not that easy.
Hi there. Thank you for this patch. I am having an issue that I can't seem to solve. I am able to use the "replace filter" button from MCM / hotkey regardless of whether I have a spare filter in my inventory or not. This basically lets me never need filters, as I can just hit the replace button whenever I want to get 100% filter health. Everything else seems to work properly. Background radiation is working, automatic filter replacement is working (this doesn't trigger when I have 0 filters), widget is working, etc.
I have tried a few different load orders and/or disabling the hotkeys / MCM mods to see if I can fix it, but no such luck yet. Right now my load order looks like:
I am loading the loose files from "Fallout 2287 - Gas Masks of the Wasteland - MCM Settings Menu" directly after GMOW. And then the Hotkeys + Hotkeys extended directly after that. Also, I admittedly was a bit confused why you recommend both the MCM settings menu and the hotkeys mods when the MCM settings menu seems to add hotkey functionality, so I tried omitting one or the other and I kept getting the same behavior regardless what I do.
I'd appreciate any help if you know what is causing this!
Hmm, I did not encounter that before, as far as I remember. Replace or quick replace (or both)? Does it also happen if you swap filters via the holotape menu? I use MCM for GMOW settings, and Gas Mask Hotkeys for the gasmask toggle. Not so sure how I hotkey the filter swap. My computer is in storage at the moment, because I am renovating my house and the floor my home office is located, is basically only walls. So I can't really troubleshoot either. Since this is not an issue with this mod, you can try to ask around on the FROST discord. Maybe someone else ran into the same issue. Alternatively, you could ask around on the GMOW discord, since this is not related to FROST.
Hello i'm new to FROST, how should a load order with FROST, GMOW, NAC X and Nuclear Winter and all their respective patches look like? I'm just a little bit lost here, would greatly appreciate some help
Hi. Sorry for keeping you waiting. My computer is in storage atm because my house is a construction yard now, so I go from memory here. I assume you also use the very much recommended NW Additions and Fixes + FROST patch.
Not really. I did this for my own game, so I just added it in case someone else would like it. I don't like the icons of FIS2 to be honest. But if there's demand, I might look into setting it up for FIS2, sure.
GMOW adds automatically at start a gas mask and 5 filters. I removed that. I added at every starting location 1 or more filters, to compensate. FROST Official Updates adds a mask at every start. I made no changes to that. Canon start has both too, but not immediatly next to the spawn point. But a mask and filter can be found before your first possibility to venture outside.
They ARE craftable... Alternatively, you can use the Disneyland version, which has higher drop rates. Generally it is kind of challenging at start, makes you plan ahead. But not impossible, especially since you can just craft them (and I did lower the crafting requirements). But I might tinker with the drop rates again. Feedback is welcome.
I'm trying to make a replacer patch for some bandanas in the game. I'm writing to you because when I do so my mod overwrites the ability for the masks to filter air . I tried adding the aaEnchGasMaskFilter "Gas Mask Filtering" [ENCH:6F05003C] in xedit under Object effects but to nothing happens.
Hello, Yeah, that enchantment is from FROST. But since GMOW takes over radiation management in this scenario, it is irrelevant. It is all scripted, so that makes it a bit more complicated. Send me the details through DM here on Nexus (or Discord if you are on the FROST server), and I'll see what I can do to support.
I disable them personnally, because they appear way too often and I dislike the yellow tint. And of course, they don't fit the FROST climate. So no, they are not converted in any way. I could replace them with another type of weather, but I don't really see the point since one can just switch them off in holotape. Unless you have interesting suggestion?

If you want compatibility for more gas masks, or like to see additional features, let me know.

Is this more complicated than I think?
How can I re-add this effect to the bandanas?
