About this mod

Got tired of falling through the floor so I refurbished the house with Snappy Housekit.

My first mod upload... :D

I added a second option. I finally managed to fix the roof and added a ceiling to the second floor. The last seven images are of option two with the repaired roof and added ceiling.

Like many others I was having the issue with "ghost" walls and floors....collision issues..... in a couple of my settlements. Taffington being one of them.

You know, it looks like the walls and floors are there but when you walk into the house....through one of the walls probably....and end up going for a swim instead. Kind of annoying really.

I tried most of the other "rebuilt" mods from here, and while they are quite nice,  I still had the same issue with them so I decided to just rebuild the place myself with Snappy Housekits.

The house is not perfect. A couple of the walls have a slight "glitchy" look and the roof is a bit "off". It seems the house is not quite standard build kit size so I did the best I could with what I had. At least you don't fall through the floor anymore :D

Please note,
This does not replace the entire house or replace anything other than the broken bits of the house so this will take a bit of prep work before you can import it. Things need to be scrapped and disabled for it work right. The two videos are a walk through-ish after the import, and a walk through showing what needs to be done before import.

I recommend the manual download and install option. It is set for slot #1. If you have something in that slot just rename the folder to whatever open slot you want to use.
The repaired roof is set for slot 2.

Mods not really required but you wont get the bathroom and kitchen without them.

CWSS Redux for the bathroom.  https://buriedmods.blogspot.com/2021/09/cwss-redux-v41-craftable-working.html
Modular Kitchens Updated for the kitchen.  Seems to only be available on Bethesda. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4096569

Also a note for the kitchen mod, I found it is so much nicer if you use Vortex to handle it. Once it's downloaded, use the "import from Bethesda" plugin in Vortex and it will turn it into a proper controllable mod and set the proper load order.

What needs to be scrapped/disabled.
Watch the video....
MAKE A SAVE BEFORE YOU START!!!!! It's easier to reload a save than to replace something that was not supposed to be removed.

I remove the vines mainly because it just looks better. You could probably leave them if you really want to. I don't think they should poke through anywhere.
All the broken railing bits and lamp posts on the deck, along with the one broken deck post by the stairs.
The deck roof panels on the front and back of the house.

All the furniture and rugs on the main floor, you can leave the couch in the sun room. If you want the updated kitchen then remove the cabinets as well, otherwise you could probably leave them.
The bay window on the shed side of the house and both doors.

The upstairs, remove the picture frames, the broken wall bits by the bathroom and the two center wall sections on the outer walls.
If you want the updated bathroom them remove all the items in the bathroom, otherwise you can leave them. Everything else could stay if you want.

DO NOT REMOVE!!!!!
The sun room, the upstairs floor, the stairs, the roof and the two center square sections that are between the two halves of the house.

Option two includes the roof fixed and a ceiling added to the second floor.
If you use this option then you need to disable the four roof parts as well, the same way as you do with the house parts. I found it easier to get them from the second floor inside of the house.

Only use one or the other, you do not need both.

I probably missed some stuff in the description here so make sure to watch the video a couple times if you need, just to make sure you got things.

Once you are happy and sure you got everything, just open Transfer settlements and hit the import button. I use the "Import marker Items" and "Original Items" options. I am not positive those are needed but I haven't found any issues with using them. There should also not be any need to Nuke the settlement before hand unless you already have things built and want to start over.
