I can't seem to get any of your mods to change faction clothing in FO4VR (at most they become naked; I sneak check their inventory and no armor or clothing at all). I use FO4VREdit to change the version and removed the esl flag in every mod I download, but still can't get any of your faction replacements to work (I've tried like 10+ of them). In fairness I haven't been able to get mods like Gunner Outfit Pack and Tumbajamba's Gunner Armor Collection to work either, but I have been able to get other faction replacements to work like Elite Infiltration, We are the Minutemen, Ad Victoriam, Super Mutant Redux, and RE Pack - (Gunner Replacer). I also have successfully placed the armors your mods draw from on male and female NPCs. I currently have nearly 500 individually selected mods going so something could be conflicting, but I don't think I have anything that affects the factions that I test when I try your mods; best I can think of is Unique NPC's. No expectation here, just thought I'd comment in case you have a suggestion; or anybody finds this info useful.

The simple explanation is that when I (and other mod authors) make the esLp file. It was made like that from the start and VR doesn't like that. It's likely that esp files that were converted into esLp play nicer with VR than esp files that are flagged as esl at the start.
Have you tried the old files in my Infinite Armory - Institute mod? Those are the original esp files before they were converted to esLp for the main files. If those don't work for you, then I truly have no idea.
No expectation here, just thought I'd comment in case you have a suggestion; or anybody finds this info useful.
The only other attempt I can think of is to use FO4edit and copy EVERYTHING from the esLp file into a brand new esp file and make sure all the copied entries point towards the new entries so that it may be compatible for FO4VR.
Thanks that makes a lot of sense. I will try the old mod versions, but probably won't go as far as copying everything and changing every pointer, though, that was a good suggestion if it was that important to me. I appreciate the help.

First things first, did you test the armor mod yourself by crafting it and wearing it yourself?
i mean its cool to finally see this armor being used but im not sure the railroad was the right choice for them although this may be a personal preference
It would be really cool to see them using a mix of Institute gear- makes sense in my mind how they might get/adapt it. I'll just imagine this is that lol.
I disagree. Other factions already have plenty of overhauls. Railroad needs some too. And as for "fit" who cares whole point of modding overhauls is to make them something different most of the time.
The Brotherhood of Steel would be a perfect fit for a Covenant faction. They've got the religious fervour, xenophobia, tech hoarding, and genocidal extremism down perfectly.
Could you please make an optional version to replace Gunner clothing with this UNSC gear? I think this armor would work great with the whole Gunner military aesthetic.

Is your FO4 game using the latest update?
There also happens to be a Power armour frame on the site that makes the wearer into a Sangheili, along with an Energy Sword and what's clearly a Covenant Erudo'ma'keth-pattern pulse carbine with the serial numbers files off.
