It takes a modder to implement what lazy Bethesda should have included from the start. Seriously, Tomb Raider II all the way back in 1997 on OG Playstation has climbable ladders with animation. Bethesda has even said that Starfield may not even include climbable ladders...oh dear. Bethesda are really falling behind with their archaic Creation Engine.
Sorry for the rant. Thanks for this simple addition. It works perfectly.
Just have to chime in and say: Since it was done through a mod it can be done through the engine. (Not to place blame where it isn't due).
Now, "Mastering the Engine" is something you can rank on Bethesda for, but I stand by my claim they should just buy up "modder resources". (Some tricks can only be done from the inside track). But laziness? I'm pretty sure that Does apply to them here.
On the other hand we have the unending array of practical (and not always quite so much, but always interesting) things from this guy!
Sadly< I have discovered that if you place one in a settlement then record that settlement w Transfer settleements the ladder (s) will not show up when you reload that blueprint. I'm guessing this is related to the precombined issues you brought up in your sticky. I was having so much fun with this mod, too.
I stand corrected....some settlements keep your ladders in the blueprint where others don't. I am still confused but now know it is not your mod. Gotta be something on my end. sorry for the "error" post seeings as it was missinformed (aka assumption) once again, my appologies
With JaL, people report settlers "randomly using" them and that "settlers see them as furniture"... Not sure what they mean exactly but it has a few problems, not a big deal for the player but some people report their settlers not climbing down after... They'll just stay and 'hang' where they climbed to... Hmmmmm... At least it's recently updated - still works after years and years.
Well this is annoying, sure, but we should remember : English isn't the first language for everybody and it ain't going to be easy for everyone to read some damn foreign mumbo jumbo instructions... (That's to say it's mumbo jumbo, possibly, to someone not proficent enough in a second language !) That were written by someone who also speaks a different language... Think about it, xD Though some are related, languages compared to eachother 'see things' from a different perspective in the word ordering/syntax and have a different choice of actual words for sayings/phrases found in other languages...
Though, some people here are just completely incapable of finding things from a static short damn list, completely. *TEARING OUT HAIR*
Oh God, all of these distractions... I have GOT to get back to the mods... Get BACK into the damn mods or there will be a nuclear war for real before I get all my mods set up for a new game. *TEARING OUT HAIR (WHAT EVER'S LEFT)* I think I need more alcohol, for the nerves.

I won't replace vanilla in-game ladders due to the whole precombined messes issue.
Thank you kindly.
Wonderful cool mod.
Cheers m8.
Just kick out the constr. objects of the workshop ladders in FO4edit... done.
You have a standalone ladder only mod

Great work Zorkaz! As always you are the maestro!

Still, wonderful work.
From the description page for the benefit of everyone who don't read descriptions - Enjoy :
"NPC's can't use the ladder as it's an activator"
Holy hell, I TOTALLY forgot about this one:
JaL - Just a Ladder Mod
NOT trying to diss or take away from Zorkas

I have been wondering about ladders for FO pretty much from the beginning and here it is, finally. Hello brand new game for FO4 !
Anyway, do NPCs use this? Like, do they understand it as a pathway and tp from one point to another?
It's clear that I didn't saw it.
