This is great, I literally had no idea this was even a thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like this was just included in v2.1.4 of the unofficial patch?
I have a bug where the laser tripwires do not seem to trip when the race finishes, the flamethrowers do not activate, and shortly afterward, the game crashes to the desktop.
I know that this mod does not cause the bug, as I was experiencing it before installing the mod, but I had hoped that this mod would fix the bug. Does anyone have any tips on how to troubleshoot this?
Do you have a very old version of the Unofficial Patch installed? I remeber there was a hotfix to fix this type of bug in the UFO4P some years ago. Other than that, I have no clue. You could try deactivating one mod at a time until the bug doesn't occure anymore.
I actually found this mod page looking for a solution to this same crash. It's definitely not from this mod since I haven't installed it. This is the first time I have seen the race happen, so I don't know what's causing it. If you have figured out a solution I would love if you could share it :)
EDIT: Did you happen to have the mod "Classic Holstered Weapons" installed? I finally found a post while searching r/fo4 claiming that the mod causes a crash when non-players exit power armour. Apparently it happens right as the animation starts, so I'm not sure if the NPCs do that.
EDIT: I think in my case it's a different mod causing the problem :(

If I would know that then I wouldn't have deleted it. Under some circumstances the bug came back like looking through a scope or using workbenches. And I had no clue how to solve these issues.
Wow, it amazes me that someone remebers how I named a mod 5 years ago. Adelusion, thanks for the compliment, it's always nice to hear that. Therefore I wanted to give you a Kodus but after clicking on your profile I've seen that I did that already in the past. Looks like you made a nice comment on one of my mod pages before. It's people like you that motivates me to get my arse up and try to improve the game.
After seeing mods which brings back cut content like Combat Zone Restored or Cut Weapon Mods Restored I came to the same conclusion. But on the other hand... I don't want to sound like I want to defend the developers but I have to admit that I released mods and updates that had way more bugs than this faulty Atom Cats quest start. Well stuff like this can happen and I'm really thankful that they gave us a powerful editor so we can try fix what they didn't finish. If I look at Final Fantasy XV I could cry like a toddler that Sqare Enix didn't released the modding tools they promised us and now we have to live with an unfinished game. I really like the gameplay and the overall story but the unfinished parts of the world makes me so sad everytime I stand in Cartanica or Tenebrae and then mumble to myself: what could have been if...
Hey Blaze, Thanks for the nice response. I like that about you. I went to give you a kudos and noticed I had already given you one as well. Just came by to grab this mod. I'm setting up for a new run. Going for a "sneaky sniper ballistic weave build," No work bench perks except for armorer. Going to be hard, but fun. I'll still want a set of Atom Cats T60 though. Looks so good. I'm a cool cat.
I tried fixing this myself some time ago and it appears you are running into one of the bugs I saw, Zeke should be in his power armor but the script for him getting out of the power armor at the end of the script gets triggered first and thus he has no power armor for the race. The other bug I kept getting was the Gunner attack that happens after fixing the pump in the quest would get triggered every time you entered the event start region of the Atom cats garage.
Hey nanan, thanks for the heads up I'll investigate this and look what is going wrong there.
Edit: I tested it with only the DLCs and Creation Club content installed and Zeke wore his power armor at the start of the race (his missing power armor was an error in another mod). The screenshots were updated. Furthermore, the Gunner attack after repairing the pump wasn't repeating after coming back to the garage. So yeah, looks like my mods works fine.
