Thanks to everyone that contributed assets and help. Boston Bandits has developed into quite a large overhaul, covering Raider, Triggermen, and optionally Scavenger factions, Named Settlers, and gameplay tweaks. Special thanks to radbeetle for fixing JU Helmets decap bug.

I hope you enjoy my mod.

Putting stuff in data folder will go poorly. Pick a mod manager and use that, I recommend Wrye Bash. Read my description page and see which main file you want, you may only want one file.

I'm guessing you are new to this so if you are on the latest Bethesda update I'd wait until F4SE gets updated before you start modding. If you have downgraded everything should run fine. Bethesda likes to ruin our fun so it gets a bit complicated.

Hey sorry if you already answered this and I didn't see, but can I install this mod on my current lvl 20 playthrough? Or do I need to start a new playthrough so it can install properly?

It will cause no issues, problem is all the NPC's like named settlers will keep outfits they spawned with once you encounter them. I generally say its best to start a new game. I have no idea how much effort Bethesda plans on putting in to their latest cash grab scam, so after the official update its possible that no mods will work correctly. This mod is very simple so it should still work fine.

Can we get an update or even a small patch that gives all items the option to add weaves since most of them don't have that? I tried doing it myself with the creation kit but half of them still didn't have the option and when I tried to recheck on the creation kit it created duplicates.

Edit: I'm a dumb**s. I forgot to make sure the patch I made was in my load order.

      Lol, well done.

I've done a lot of work on this mod and I'm not going to make patches or anything else at this point. Check your edited esp as creation kit has a nasty habit of adding random worldspace and cell edits when it saves, I use XEdit instead.

Post below is asking for the same thing so feel free to upload your patch if you get it working right.

Well its mostly vanilla sized textures and has no bugs, should run on any machine just fine.

How many outfits don't act as undersuits? I mean, how many outfits can we not wear armor pieces with?

If you look at the description of screenshots it says either raider armor (complete suits) or raider clothing (underarmor). All the settler and craftable stuff should be obvious if its underarmor or not. I've lost count at this point but its not a small amount, pretty much everything has a screenshot except there are a few more versions of the knit cap than pictured.

Any chance for a Raiders only version? I have... other options for the Settlers.

Open esp with XEdit and delete Non-Player Character and Outfit, done.

By the way, this mod does nothing to generic settlers so most mods are compatible. Only named settlers have new outfits added.

Thanks. Though, I'm not really that good at modding. I'll adapt.

Well if you are new to modding I doubt you have anything installed that edits named settlers, there are not many mods that do that. Named settlers generally have a unique outfit associated with them, all the popular stuff like Better Settlers mod add new faces or outfits to the levelled lists associated with generic settlers (the ones with no name that show up when you build a settler beacon thing) so you may not have to change Boston Bandits esp.

XEdit is the most handy tool for Bethesda Games, you can do loads of stuff with it like changing esp's to esl's, merging levelled lists, or just adjusting damage of a weapon or resistance of an armour. Search for FO4 Edit on Nexus and that is all set up to work with Fallout 4, just unzip it anywhere on your PC and run the exe. When it opens press OK with all your plugins ticked then right-click anywhere on the left panel and left-click on apply filter to show conflicts, wait for it to load then you will see a list of red plugins, If Boston Bandits is not in the list then it is not conflicting with other mods. If it is there you can open it and see what it conflicts with, its very important to check this stuff to avoid your game getting screwed up. If you need to, do what I said in my first reply.

The most important Fallout 4 modding tip I can give you is to not use loose files, that means clicking on preview file contents of files you download and check they have a main ba2 and textures ba2 and not a load of individual textures and meshes. I have found Fallout 4 is just not setup to work with loose files and runs worse the more you install.

Having a big number of different versions of a mod makes updating a pain in the arse so I can't do that, ask me if you get stuck and I'll help.
