is there a way to fully remove the air raid alarm from the mod? disabling the siren in the settings doesnt seem to do anything. my mother likes watching me play but she gets very stressed when hearing air raid alarms due to growing up in the 80s. :c
I was hoping to keep the fallout weathers, especially the nuke dropping one, just minus the siren. :s
Seeing nukes in a videogame is fine, but hearing the siren brings back memories of the nuclear war fears of the 80s when she was a child I suppose. ._.
I see. Then have a quick edit with FO4VREdit. Open 'NAC.esp' and navigate to 'Sound Descriptor\NAC_RadFalloutSiren'(almost bottom), then edit 'Static Attenuation (db)' on right pane. Greater value means smaller volume. Edit value to 99.0 and nobody will hear it. Do same thing to 'NAC_Rad_SirenWarningDistant' and you'll never hear siren again.
dont know whats the problem or what iam doing wrong here but: i can see how NAC works, its just an overlay infront of the "camera". i say that, because the overlay doenst fill the whole fov of my headset, i can see where it ends and see the normal fallout 4 "colors" in the peripheral vision. and when i move my head, the overlay isnt synced, it laggs behind while it tries to keep up with my movement, as if it had a 80ms delay
No vignette, iam playing with no comfort settings. i will try the enb patch and report back tommorow Edit. That acutally did it. thank you! both problems solved at once. new one popd up "strange shadows" the shadows are like dithered holograms and slightly infront of the object, but i guess the other ini will fix that since that problem is known.
Could be NAC-X's own vignette, there's few setting that don't quite work in VR. And with newer headsets they show the edges even worse than before. You could try to:
So FOV of the headset matters? Sadly, I don't have verification environment, nor permission to redistribute modified meshes. I can't post patches right now.
NAC-X adds shadows to the power armor lights and they don't seem to work right and cause lag. Does anyone else experience this? Did a little xEditing to change it. Should this be added to this mod, or should i just make a patch of my own?
Heads up for anyone who downloads this mod and is getting a weird moving shadowy blur around objects: Go into the ini file and set bVrAllowSAO=0. Shadow ambient occlusion just doesn't work that well in FO4VR.
There is known bug that opening pipboy or terminal when flashlight is on causes CTD. But I've not heard of that just turning on/off crashes game. It might happen, if you are missing following INI settings. [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal=
Guess they occurs when moved from brignt environments to dark ones, like teleport out from Institute. It's 'eye adaptation' feature of Fallout 4. I think NAC X - NATURAL AND ATMOSPHERIC COMMONWEALTH TWEAKS 1.0.1? has tweak for this.
No this is happening in any interior. And disabling this "VR fix" mod fixed that lol. I believe your mod somehow enables SSAO even though it is off in .ini file. This breaks VR visuals. Please disable SSAO
Actually, I included custom INI file that enabled SSAO, because I feel it is almost a part of NAC. But yes, it's personal preference after all. I uploaded a patch file that nullify this change. Please overwrite main file with this.

Probably you'll need to ban 'Fallout' weather.
Use Settings -> NAC Weather -> Radstorm -> Fallout -> Ban Selected Weather.

Edit: I moved the PipBoy VR Light to the bottom of my LO and good to go!
Otherwise I have no idea what's going wrong too.

Also resizing the vignette mesh in nifskope has been known to be done at least once.

Feel free to apply modification in your favor.
Are you able to use Pip VR Light? with FRIK ?

Update: In case anyone look at this later, changing to PRC preset greatly reduced the brightness.
Later might be too boomy for you though.
