///// PREREQUISITE /////
Fallout's vanilla HUD takes up way too much of the screen, distracting the player from the game itself and isn't really modern altogether.
I like minimal HUDs showing only necessary information while still being somewhat logical. I also use several mods to accommodate disabled HUD info (such as Realistic Low Health, Excessive Blood Spray Overhaul and it's Texture Tweaks and Recoil Shake and Low Ammo Sounds.
I won't go into detail here about my thoughts before creating my presets. If you wish to know more, read the description of my other preset Sensible Minimal - A FallUI HUD Preset.
This is basically a tweaked and improved version of my first preset for ENBs with letterbox (I use the Quantum Horizons ENB with the letterbox set to 0.055 (for other ENBs it might be 2.05 I believe).

// Shortly before uploading the mod here I decided to remove the one-sided brackets for quest progression and general messages because I didn't like them after all, but couldn't be bothered to make new screenshots. I recreated this and my previous preset from my personal mashup of these two DEF_UI presets: Ultimate Letterbox HUD by talamoana and Refined HUD by ShauniBGE.

I'm open to constructive (!!!) criticism and ideas. However this preset will always be how I like it, so I won't change anything I don't want to change.

- removed crosshair and hit indicator
- removed ammo and explosives counter
- removed sneak indicator
- removed PA battery warning
- removed flashlight indicator
- reduced compass info to only show directions, player set marker and marked enemies
- reduced enemy info to only the name
- reduced XP bar to only show the level up message
- reduced rad meter to no longer show radiation amount
- pretty much everything else has been moved or resized
- there are three different versions for hp and ap bars - one with classic brackets, one without brackets and one with 4 slices representing a quarter of the bar (see images)

- Make sure you have the newest version of FallUI - HUD installed.
- Download and activate my preset in your mod manager.
- To apply it ingame, go into the FALL UI - HUD/LAYOUT menu in your MCM,click "Import layout" and select "Sensible Minimal for Letterbox". Save and reload.
- Enjoy :)
- Optional: install iHUD for even mUh iMMerSioN! (set enemy health bar to never hide, or you won't see the enemy name)
