Please help! What can I do to make my game more visible? Can't see 10 ft in front of me at night and day (when it's hazy like this) is way too blown out. Pics here: https://imgur.com/ShWVrJd and https://imgur.com/I2UDYwz
Would really love an exterior only version. Inside is just way too dark for me. I find myself sleeping thru nights simply because it’s too dark! Running to a bed so I can see again XD I love this mod I’m not sure how it could be changed or if it needed that at all. It’s amazing in a lot of aspects honestly this lighting mod is awesome. Some areas are just too dark
Greatly enjoying this. I do have two questions regarding the gameplay tweaks it is applying.
Does the new 'polluted' weather type apply the same radiation debuffs as the a classic radstorm did?
I noticed in the changelog that 4.0 is also adjusting the detection rate for the NPCs. When compared to the vanilla, does it make stealth easier or more difficult?
I am using this mod in the Wabbajack Life in the Ruins list. For some reason, the nights still seem bright and vanilla. Is this big mod list making this not work possibly?
I am having issues with walls disappearing and huge lage spikes in interiors but I have a beefy pc. My specs are: ryzen 5600, 6800xt, 64gb ddr4 3600mhz, 2tb wd blue ssd. Like, it's not my specs and no issues outdoors but missing many walls in random interior and HUGE frame drops when looking towards the abnormalities. This is really the only lighting mod I have.
I use mostly just the Lonesome Road modlist (I know that's a FNV dlc but not sure if the modlist was called exactly that but I think it was) which is made by the same people who made the Viva New Vegas modlist and it should be stable and I have the previsbines repair pack and all already.
I actually fixed the issue I think. I assumed it was a load order issue maybe and ran loot and literally the fps drops and stuff were gone when I loaded my save and my textures actually returned to the mortal plane LOL.
No. I haven’t edited any light placements in this mod. Shadows etc are cast the same as they would be in vanilla. Nothing added or taken away. It’s just the image space and light intensity that is different.
What a pity. It seems that if you want enough shadows, you need to withstand lower fps. If you want FPS, the screen won't have enough expressive power.... I hope there will be a lighting and shadow mod that combines both in the future
Yeah, I'm not sure what is causing it. Maybe Enhanced Color Correction. I have very little mods that affect lighting. This, a candle mod. Meh, I'll fart around with it, sorry to bother ya Jon!
I am using this and NOT using ENB. But now my interiors are so dark I can't see my hand in front of my face. Realistic ambiance is nice 'n all, but this is way too dark. Is there anything I can do to brighten things up a bit? I really don't want to use an ENB this time, even though ENB gives us ways to deal with bloom, gamma, brightness, contrast, etc., all things I wish I could tweak. I just need the FPS and to be honest, the game doesn't look that bad without ENB.
Thanks!
Maybe one day you can make a weather/exterior only version and I can just go back to UIL for inside?
Sounds like something else is causing an issue. Interiors are darker than vanilla (which is over exposed by default) but definitely not pitch black. Should look like the screenshots.
Mod causes lag within some interiors, particularly vaults and particularly with the Pipboy light on. Tested this in Vault 75 with and without mod to confirm. Also noticing a reappearance of some old visual interior bugs, such as disappearing walls at certain pov angles, though I have not confirmed them to be caused by the mod and I have seen them before with various load orders. As far as the visuals, the mod is good and increases immersion especially in places which are supposed to be dark, but the lag earns it a one way trip into the trashcan for me. Not sure what, if any, mod interaction could be causing on my end. My vault textures are vanilla. I use ENB but only for boost. No other lighting mods.
Really appreciate this quick response, though, I'm not sure about the diagnosis. My machine should not be hitting any limitations with this game as it is fairly high end. Also wanted to say that I really appreciate the care taken in making the mod lightweight and uninstallable for instances such as this. I'm guessing its an engine level issue or is derived from one of my ini settings messing with the mod as I engage in lots of ini tweaking. Good mod, just some weirdness in my set up I think.
