Not showing up. Probably not an issue with this mod, but I only have SS2 and RotC plans available. Tried everything.

In case you haven't already done so, in you mod manager, check to see if the plugin is enabled.

There are two files, the city plan version is accessed through a city planner desk in the settlement (I'm not sure, but I think city plans are locked prior to progress in the SS2 questline, unless you used the SS2 'cheats' unlock in the holotape).

The layout file is accessed through the red settlement workbench, in it's manage menu.

Noticed it didn't show up for me either but after I changed the setting of Outpost-plan only for Outpost to off it does now. Might help you out as well.

I have an old save with all your city plans built. If I download the updates, how should I refresh my city?

To be truthfully honest, you might be best to ask over on the Sim Settlements 2 forums.
I can quite happily build the city plans, but I am not overly knowledgeable of the code behind them and how it all works.
Thus, rather than me give you what I think will work, it would be best to get answers from those who know how it all actually functions.

If they are below level 3 then (I believe) an upgrade will use the new plan and they should be good to go. One way if they were already at level 3 would be that you could refresh the city plan - but this this takes a long time (as it tears everything down, and rebuilds it) and could muck up assignments, production and connections and lots of scripts running. I would hate to have people try this and go through it when there is an easier way.

    Hey,
i'm running into settler cap issues with some city plans, one of them is Brahmin Milk of Kindness. The city levels up without problem, there are also enough beds provided, but the settler cap (lower left corner) is set to 4, so no new stettlers will arrive as long as i don't recruit them.

Do you have any idea, what's causing this problem?

Version 1.0b has used the newer city plan compiler so this should have been fixed.
I see you have downloaded it, so I guess just check that 1.0b is currently set as the active version in your mod manager.

Did you have version 1.0 as an active city plan prior to upgrading to v1.0b?
I am not sure how the system handles the new changes. (I just make city plans)
It may need a refresh (this takes a long time - something you could try at the end of a play session, make a save then refresh the plan (at the city planner desk) and leave the PC alone to do it's thing for how ever long it takes, then check once it is done.
You may need to travel away to let the cell reload.

As an alternative you could jump straight to a level 3 equivalent version using the layout file (used through the workbench)

      Switched to SS2 Forums here

OUTCOME: if you have the City Plan Contest Megapack (and choose any of these options - the specific plan, all plans, or new kids season 3) you will have 2 versions of my city plans if you installed this one (many of the Megapack plans are the older versions as the pack was created prior to many of my updates). It uses different esl file names, so you will likely find two plans of a similar name when you browse through available plans on the city planner desk.

      How to tell the difference
In the city plan page as you browse available plans:
The Mega pack starts the city plan name with Contest pack:.....
My updated version will go straight into the name (with no contest pack)
      In the description:
The Mega pack version will start with Season 3:.....
My (updated) versions do not mention what Season it is from.

I love that you stuck to the lore of the settlement and added a proper grave for the daughter who died. WELL DONE!

      Thank you!

Yes, I thought it need more care and attention.
As it's located outside the boundary people might often forget about it.

It's highly unlikely I will be doing Sanctuary any time soon

At the moment I'm concentrating on creating plans for settlements that I don't have desired options for.
Sanctuary I have one made up already for my future play through which uses a modified Holy Sanctuary by Nicogaud.
For some settlements I also blend existing plans together, including season 3 contest entries, ported contest plans from SS1, and Rise of the Commonwealth plans.
Obliviously these are for my own use and won't be shared.

My next upcoming plan is Charles View Amphitheater custom settlement by Tenhats
I've basically finished level 3 of the plan and will now devolve it to get the other levels

Following that I'm thinking I'll probably start on another of the custom settlements

Any suggestions for keeping Clarabell in the actual brahmin area and not blocking the gate where her old pen was? I've tried moving her (console moveto player, extra commands in scrap everything where you can just pick her up and drop her somewhere else) and she won't reassign to any of the troughs in the pen area, just goes back to the old spot, teleporting through anything in her way.

Sorry, I don't know of anything that would be able to get the stubborn creature to stay.

It would require some clever person that could perhaps adjust whatever NPC box Clarabell is set to in the CK perhaps.

Then again, maybe try console click on her, use tai to turn off her AI, probably would reset position though when you return to the settlement and the cell reloads.

It is outside the build zone, and settlers won't (shouldn't) path there.
Everything that needs to be placed first needs to be added inside the build zone, then moved to its position outside (above) using the Place Everywhere mod. This mod also has a function to stop workshop timeout.
Using Workshop Plus you can 'fly' so float about while building up there.
There are a couple of collision barriers in the power pylon, and that's why you need to use the ladders to climb and bypass them.

The version of this plan from the City Plan Contest Megapack for Sim Settlements 2 appears to also suffer from the max population issue, are there any plans to include the bed count version in that mod?

Pretty much right after I wrote this I saw that Zimonja Cavern and Minuteman Castle Command also suffer from the population issue, with only 3 max settlers at level 1 rather than the 15 we are supposed to get

I saw this post https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/can-a-city-plan-set-the-max-population-to-0.26543/#post-183722 regarding the population issue and read

"Yes. If the author has not updated their plan in the past year with changes to residential/bed count in the city plan plug-in maker website, then it is very possible (and likely) they have an incorrect bed count. A count of 0 would result if they had 0 settlers when exporting their city plan levels."

Seeing as how Zimonja Cavern and this mod (the main file) havent been updated in roughly the last year I believe that this is possibly the place to start looking, and considering the bed count version you have made fixes this problem im assuming you need to do something similar with your other city plans that also suffer from this problem. Hopefully this was of some use to you and we can see a fix soon

Yes, seems a few of the early city plans are starting to play up.

I will be going through and updating all my plans once ch 3 releases and we see what new plots and changes to existing ones are made.

I might see if I can re-compile the earlier ones next week in the mean time, (I currently 17500km away from my PC).

Not sure why that would happen.
It might be another mod you have has changed something like a nif file.
The door is an asset from SS2, (via the Wasteland Reconstruction Kit), so you could ask on the SS2 forum if any one else has encountered that problem with those mods.
