I'm finding no one with my issue and I'm stuck ! ! !
I'm having so much trouble right now, and I simply can't figure out why. From my understanding, this mod just snatches the skeleton from the original mod and splits them into "two" with the addition of an extra optional esp, correct? Or something of that nature, but me not fully knowing how it works isn't really my current issue. For now, my main problem is that whenever this mod is enabled, my game crashes the moment everything is "loaded" (i.e. I start a new game, it loads, and typically the beginning sequence would play out - - but in my case, the beginning sequence doesn't get a chance to start before my game abruptly closes itself out). I'm not sure if the load order is incorrect or if I'm supposed to disable anything; nobody seems to be having the same issue as I am, so it's really difficult to decipher. Here's my load order btw - or at least the important stuff relevant to my issue. They are all enabled and in the exact order as displayed:
- Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE (Knee Fix) - Nanakochan Race Compatibility Patch for Skeletal Adjustments mod - Animerace Nanakochan - Nanakochan CBBE Bodyslide patch - Custom Race Skeleton Fixes - For Nanakochan (<-- you are here)
I'm aware that the actual race mod is meant to have the .NIF file renamed to serve as a backup, though I'm not sure whether or not the Skeletal Adjustments or it's following compatibility patch is meant to follow suit. The three mods at the bottom don't change in placement, but note that I have tried to swap the first two and place them under the racial mod to see if anything changes. Lo and behold, I suffer the same issue each and every time I tweak and make changes, trying to see if I missed something. And for some reason whenever I disable this mod and rename the original racial mod .NIF file back to just "skeleton.nif", I actually get to play the game! But here's the kicker - I look like the woman behind the slaughter with incredibly unflattering blackface makeup and when I do the -- slm14 thing, she just loses the head. I'm not gonna say this mod is the cause of the headless purple woman specifically, but it does crash the game when I try to enable it. I'm assuming because there's two skeletons trying to fit into one character, but I would think me renaming the original skeleton would just redirect the game to this mod??? I'm really confused and just wondering if I need to make any further alterations?
I don't personally use or support Nanakochan myself (nor CaN for that matter) and only made the patches due to popular demand, so I don't know the specifics of any other patches or addons for it.
Right now what I can guess from your info is that the game can't find the skeleton files in the separate path this mod points to (which, as mentioned in the description, was the cause of the original CTD which we found the solution for)... but that makes no sense since they are included with the download itself.
The only possible explanation I can think of is that the game is unable to see/load loose files and can only load from BA2 archives... which is a known issue with vanilla/unmodded FO4 and requires some specific tweaks in Fallout4.ini to fix:
Under [Archive] add the following line: bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 Also under [Archive] change the value for sResourceDataDirsFinal= to blank (nothing after the equals sign).
I would assume anyone modding FO4 would have this fix applied already since it's such a basic thing, but in case you are missing it somehow or they got deleted by the game rebuilding new .ini files... try this and see if it helps. Do note that if you're using using MO2, you have to do this with MO2's INI Editor.
Apologies for not getting back to you earlier. it turns out you were right, I totally forgot that I uninstalled and reinstalled the game which completely reset my ini file. Thank you for getting back to me even now in 2025, such an easy fix that flew straight over my head and I probably would've still been bashing my head against a wall, thank you lol.
i have an issue where npcs heads will be bigger then supposed to be when using My Little Nanako 3 i dont know if this mod is compatible with My Little Nanako 3 i will say i did not have this issue before i installed mln3 and if i uninstall mln3 the npc heads go back to their normal size
I took a quick peek at the files in that mod and it seems to include skeleton files in the "Head Scale" section. Make sure whichever loose files skeleton replacer you're using (ZeX or 3BBB/Knee Fix) loads after that mod so the latter's files win the conflict and override the former.
If you are going to use 'My Little Nanako' you might as well look into the "Harmony Patch". - Though I seem to recall it doesn't work well with some of the newer Nanako mods that the Koreans have been making since 2022. (Even then its hard for someone who doesn't understand Korean to read and navigate that site)
I don't know what you mean by "cover" but if you're unsure of whether that mod's plugin will conflict with this one then you can always load both plugins into xEdit and see what records they change and whether one overwrites the other's.
My original question from HHS: How fix skeleton problem (Hight setting error, usually due to the modified skeleton not installed correctly), i use ZeX_V5 for male BT3.v322, discrete female skeleton (DFS) with "Skeletal Adjustment for CBBE" for female and separate skeleton for animerace (Custom Race Skeleton Fixes - No RaceCustomizer Requirement - AnimeRace Nanakochan), so, i have like three separate skeletons in game and cant test or create height... Mb there manual way?
So, question is, how teach HHS understand new skeleton way for nanarace? (...CharacterAssets\nanarace\)
If anyone else comes to this page looking for this answer and is confused-
download this file https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/22903-zaz-zex-nanakochan-anime-skeleton/
then go to Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets\nanarace
and replace the "skeleton.nif" with the one you just downloaded
I got it to work by telling HHS to overwrite the custom skeleton .nif from this mod, then replace the file, deploy, save changes, and it should work perfectly.
So.. by replacing this skeleton, it will give the Nanako race a proper adjustable body? I managed to give the Nanako race 3BBB physics by replacing a skeleton, and it even made it capable of bodyslide configuration. Unfortunately though.. it broke the 1st person camera. Imma try replacing the skeleton this way, and hopefully everything works.
trying to fix big npc heads with nanakochan animerace mod and was lead here only to find out it does the exact opposite by making my player head normal and npc heads big is there a fix
this enables me to learn how to do with a creature such as a deathclaw and keep the first person without breaking power armor. but im not sure where the first person is pointing at
This one fixed the "small head" problem for me... just to create a new one. I use the male NPC replacer and now the male vanilla and nana heads are mixed together. Which looks very disturbing I might say.
I have installed Nanakochan (obviously), ZeX Extended Skeleton for Anime Race, Nanako CBBE Patch, NPC Replacer, Male NPC Replacer and this mod of course. Any ideas what could be wrong? I installed it all via Vortex and not sure what could might been overwritten. I understand I might have to do things manually but my modding skills are limited.
I don't use the AnimeRace mods myself so I cannot help with that. All I did was edit the skeleton paths in the race data and split the Player edits into a separate plugin, which shouldn't have any effect on NPCs or anything like that.
I fixed the issue on end like the other guys im using MLN 3 i removed the big heads successfully but my big brain mode clicked sort on the MO2 and didnt even think of backing up the previous LO now im back to big head been trying to fix this for almost 8 hrs now hahahaha
This mod also fixes the issues between AnimeRace nanako and the Classic Holstered Weapons System(CHW) mod.
I've used nanako race for female npcs, CHW works fine on female npcs (nanako race) but not on male npcs (vanilla human race).
Now with this mod, by adding the skeleton path (skeleton file location in this mod) in the CHW it works fine for both male and female npcs.
But there's a problem : the vanilla human npc's head is a little bit bigger than normal (It took me a while to gradually realize something was wrong)but both me the player(as vanilla human)and nanako race npcs are fine, I manage to solved the problem after referring to previous comments and changing the ordering.
I have an issue that the nana race head being smaller, the npc head returned to normal though, but my characters have default nora hand with nana head, may i know how to fix this issue? i have tried to rename the nif files and it seems Vortex won't redirect the path to the proper ones
