I welcome any constructive feedback for the overhaul versions as well as suggestions about mods to patch.
News/Changelog Aug-14-22 Uploaded Overhaul patch for the P94 Plasma Rifle. Contrary to my other patches, this is a ".esp replacer" patch as this incorporates all changes from my "Unofficial Update" mod. So if you have that mod installed and want the FCaB patched version, simply uninstall the unofficial update version first and install the overhaul patch and you should be good to go. No need to start a new game or load a save from before the mod installs.

No, all these patches as well as FCaB itself are .esp extensions simply because they're easier for me to work with overall. You're more than welcome to convert them to .esl using FO4Edit or another program.
Here is a Patching Tutorial I made for FCaB (found as an article on that mod page), feel free to give it a try as I can't promise to make such a patch.
just wondering if this is compatable with Loads of Ammo's special ammo for energy weapons, and if its not, wondering if any patches between them might be planed?
A patch would be required to make the new energy munition types act like batteries/fusion cores, but this should be very simple to do compared to making a weapon patch. All one would need to do is make the health of the ammunition in question equal to 101 and it should work perfectly with FCaB modifiers.
Whether I'll make a patch to release, I'm not sure honestly.
Using your provided guide I was able to make a quick and easy patch for "Smith and Wesson Model 1905 Revolver". Even for a newbie to FO4 Edit, your instructions were easy to follow. Thank you! Patch works like a charm!

Then I tried to take on "CROSS_Cryolance" and after hours of tinkering I can't get it to work. I had to add keywords for the different object modifications since the author didn't include any that would've been helpful. I might've messed something up with that part, because everything else was covered in detail in your guide and looks to be as you describe. Might you be interested in taking a crack at it? There's not many cryo weapons out there and this one is well done.

One final note, though its still a young mod, "Zetans - Alien invaders in the Commonwealth" looks like it will be quite the fun one. It has a two energy weapons in its current state, including a decently moddable Zetan Pulse Rifle which utilizes Alien Blaster Rounds. Might not be far enough along in development to worry about patching it yet, but it might be worth keeping an eye on.
I found changing the weapons ammo to fusion cell and removing the gauss barrel turns it into a laser pistol real well, it's just for some reason it's capacity is at like 100 and it doesn't matter what barrel you use.
Okay, so I tried to patch the X12 Plasma Caster's two ammo options and something went wrong and caused the underbarrel option to multiply its tiny magazine of 3 all the way to 100.
I know you can't get around to it anytime soon, but please look into patching these mods whenever you get the chance.
Thank you. On one note, the ammo capacity of the BLR-4 in the Ad Victoriam mod might need to have a slight rebalance. Most of the barrel mods double its ammo capacity to 60 which feels a tad extreme for a plasma based gun.
I've been having computer troubles lately to the point where I had to reinstall my OS (Don't worry, I've made my back-ups beforehand), so I can't work on it anytime soon.
