Is it possible to force recruitment before "In Sheep's Clothing"? I want to leave the main quest until I'm ready to finish up this playthrough, but want to bring Nat over to Taffington with Piper and I
No. It was explained to me that it had to be that way or it would break the quest. Biggest hurdle is having to get Piper to max affection before Nat will move even after finishing those quest. There are a couple affection mods that will help with getting Pipers affection to max quickly though.
Hi. Nat doesn't want to come to me as a settler, I've finished the missions, when I go to Nat, the text appears, I select what comes, but Nat immediately rejects me, I tried to wait a few days, then the same text appears again and it just rejects me again, and you cannot recruit as a settler. are there any other requirements besides the two missions? thx
I believe you have to have max affection with Piper to recruit her after you finish the quests. Don't know why this is a requirement but just is. Maybe somebody will make a patch to remove that max affection requirement.
I had used the original mod and was wanting to have Nat act more like a settler, so gave this a go. Restarted my game, speed ran through the story and completed the two required quests. I'm unsure if there's a bug or something i might've missed, but when i go to talk with Nat, she proceeds to have only "talk" and no pop-up appears beyond that.
Has there been any issues or anything i might've missed?
Edit: I seem to have found the problem, seems one of my other settler mods was conflicting. Managed to resolve the issues and it's all working, apologies!
Actually a good mod but you do realize that it's still broken? You can neither swap things with Nat nor assign her work. It just stands around empty and doesn't do anything. A dead Npcs. I thought you fixed that?
That! personally I do not think it would be that difficult to do - not any more so than what's in the mod already. She has the AI Packages so maybe would just have to switch the object. In any case the MQ103NatAlwaysSellPapersPackage and DmndNatSellPaperPackage8x12 are the keys (or example). Likely should add a Public Occurrences sign too while at it? If ambitious have Nat's selling papers add a point of happiness - maybe even a cap - to the workbench? Now, who said child labor is a bad thing? :-)
BTW, there is a printing press in the workbench, not sure if it's under miscellaneous decorations or furniture. I built one in Home Plate 'cause Piper always suggests I build her a second printing press when I craft, of course that don't keep her from repeating that dialog, but it's the thought which counts right? ;-)
See, personally I would send Nat to home plate, her sister been staying there for weeks along with Curie while Cait and I are out, rather than Public Occurrences or off on a settlement. The banter is kind of cool when I drop off Cait there and pick up either Piper or Curie because the responses (dialog) comes from all of them on the companion switching. ;)
Although I had to give up Publick Occurences Expanded unless there's a mod where the box where Nat stands on can be crafted and used in a settlement as stated in a previous comment.
Would also confirm that Hot Milk (standalone optional file under Hot Mama Murphy mod) works with this mod. Yes Nat is already a teenager after all these years. Just make sure to install Hot Milk AFTER Nat has been recruited already and must load AFTER this mod. Nat still talks while in a settlement with the occasional "Hi" or "Hi Mister!"
I remember the mod AndreChau wrote about. Sadly, 1) I didn't download it at the time and 2) it seems to have disappeared after the... changes around here.
I remember years ago seeing a mod that made the newspapers box that Nat stands on, so any settler could use it. Does anyone know that mod, and would Nat still carry out the newspaper cries on top of it? Or is she moving on?
I like the mod concept but makes more sense to me getting her to come live at least after reunions quest is done, you can recruit piper pretty early and then wander off doing a lot of other stuff before getting back to the main story, leaving her there for "months" by herself. I love the concept though and it bugs me too that Piper just runs off and neglects her sister if you send her to a settlement without a second thought lol
Problem is, if you move Nat too early, some quests will break and/or Nat wanders back to DC and becomes unrecruitable. So this mod prevents that and doesn't let you recruit her before these quests are completed.
ahh yeah that kinda sucks. I downloaded it anyway, but I get so side tracked with all the other quests and player mods myself so Nat just have to fend for herself until I get back to it ha

This is a requirement from original mod and I forgot to add it to the description. Updated now.

A work object needs to have the "Child can use" flag set, for a child settler to be assigned to it.
The school desks by FrogPrincess for example.

will leave it here in case others want it.
PS AndreChau found it
Normally not the guy for request/ideas but can you do the same for Donny Kowalsky?

He's the kid outside the Yangtze
I can try when I find out how to edit dialogue in CK... doing in xedit is tedious.
So this mod prevents that and doesn't let you recruit her before these quests are completed.
