The X-Files mod music playlist will include both official and unofficial song tracks.
This song list represents the main featured songs for the version 2 update that is planned for this mod.
Sound samples and other official X-files songs, not included in the below list, may also be used.
A separate music playlist for non-lyrics will be added later.

Settlers are now recruitable "Agents". They are dressed and equipped as federal agents. They possess standard issue weapons (10mm or .45) and their inventories are randomly equipped with files, microscopes, or writing instruments. Agents are well dressed and sometimes wear variations of eyewear.
If you are not seeing your settlers as well dressed agents, in your game, perhaps their is a load order conflict with another settler mod such as Better Settlers. Either disable the conflicting settler mods, or change their load order.

Highly recommended mods for X-Files
Main
* Crime And Punishment. Uses a Karma system in the apprehending of subjects.
Tactics
Various methods to apprehend a subject. (Note: Not tested if all compatible together)
* Freeze Intimidation Overhaul. Relies on charisma. Although Mulder and Scully's SPECIAL charisma may be a little low, their outfits give them charisma boosts. Mulder also has sunglasses with a +2 charisma boost. Read Fox Mulder NPC specifications to see how to manage him.
* Abduction.
* Non lethal or lethal resolution. Makes use of tranquilizers and more.
* Holdup.
* Real Handcuffs at loverslab to apprehend subjects.

Mulder's SPECIAL
S - 3
P - 3, fair perception, but not great.
E - 2, typical endurance.
C - 2, poor charisma, because Mulder is Spooky.
I - 4, Fair intelligence, but relies on Scully for precision.
A - 6, Good with handling a .45
L - 8, Mulder's strong suit - his luck.
Intimidation
If you are using Freeze Intimidation Overhaul, this mod relies on charisma. Mulder's SPECIAL charisma is boosted by his +2 charisma suit. He also has +2 charisma sunglasses on his person. With his outfit, he gains +6 charisma.

One of Dana's unique features, is that she has the ability to detect hostiles. She is also designated as a doctor, whom you can trade for chem items.
Correction for next update: Doctor, so Scully can heal you and remove rads.

The X-Files mod relies on Creation Kit as an overhaul to the Fallout 4 game.
In its beginning stages The X-Files mod focuses on replacement modifications. As development progresses, more stand-alone items will appear.
Because this is an overhaul mod, it is highly recommended that you use Mod Organizer 2. That way you can switch from one overhaul to another, without interrupting your current or old game. See how this is done at Mod Organizer 2 configuring profiles tutorial at Fandom.
Vortex is not capable, nor has any plans yet revealed, to provide users with profile configurations. Vortex succumbs to the 254 plugin cap, rather than resolving the work around. This is what sets Mod Organizer 2 apart from all other mod installers.

Morley cigarette pack at Fallout 4 Nexus is the brand of of cigarettes that Cigarette Smoking Man smokes.
The item is pre-released before the next update at Morley at Fallout 4 Nexus.
This is a replacer item that replaces all Turtle packs in game as a fun pre-release. It will later be included with Cigarette Smoking Man, possibly as a stand-alone item that may appear less random, while bringing back Fallout's Turtle packs.
Use ~ player.additem 000E3770 #3 to fetch three of them. If you started with Start Me Up, unfortunately you will not be able to enter cheatmode. If you have any problems, you can post an issue here to see if we can find a work around: X-Files User Support at Fallout 4 Nexus until the next update.

X-Files main theme uninstall
To uninstall the X-Files main theme, that begins at the intro of the game, go to your Data folder at: Data/Video/MainMenuLoop and remove all MainMenuLoop files. Then go to Data/Music/special and remove the MUS_MainTheme file.
All original and vanilla game files in your Data folders can also safely be restored with B.A.E. - Bethesda Archive Extractor at Fallout 4 Nexus without having to do any hard re-installs of the game. In this method, you would extract all Fallout 4 BAT game files, drag and drop them in BAE, and extract them to your DATA folder. It would then rewrite all base game files back to their original formats. It does not affect stand-alone mods, but it would affect replacer mods only if they are loose files.... -

Men In Black prevent you from believing. Currently, we do not know who they work for or where they are from within the US.
They will engage you as assassin types. They do have their own faction, but also replace some Raiders and some Gunners. When your settlements get attacked, you may see Men In Black mixed in.
Some Men In Black possess files.
Future plans
* Currently any files found on the Men in Black are just aesthetics, but there are plans to make the files more functional.
