how can you build outside the settlement line?, i want fix the chemistry bench on the yellow bus, because its place on opposite position. and when i'm using it, i'm automatically teleport outside the wall
I build using the Place Everywhere mod. With it installed pressing F5 will allow you to turn off the workshop timeout and rotate the Chemistry Station.
Alternatively copy the commands below into a new text file and save it in your Fallout 4 folder:
chemfix.txt
SetPos X 3726.33 SetPos Y 45465.03 SetPos Z 665.54 SetAngle X 0.00 SetAngle Y 0.00 SetAngle Z 255.91 In game select the Chem Station in the console and then type bat chemfix to rotate it for you.
After installing the mod the game CTD'd at least 8 times while walking around. Must be a major conflict with some other mod I have. Too bad, this is terrific.
That’s really odd, I cant imagine what would be causing CTD’s if the settlement imported without any issues as its only using Vanilla and DLC objects.
I have occasionally had times when my game would repeatedly crashwhen trying to certain buildings or areas. In these cases I found travelling far away and then waiting a couple ofin-game days fixed it upon returning. Might be worth giving that a try and then testing the import again ifyou have not already?
I have just uploaded a test save as a miscellaneous file, which has the settlement already imported and has only ever had the basic required mods installed. If you are willing to give it a try, I would be interested to hear if your game still CTD’s with your existing load order when using it.
Thanks for the input. Ill load your save and see what happens. I read something about the shotgun trap in the boathouse being bugged. I never went in the boathouse to disarm the trap, I just installed your mod. Maybe that caused the issue.
Wonderful mod btw, tremendous attention to detail.
***Ran your save and no issues. Ran smooth and no crashes. Issues on my end. Thanks
I have a sim settlements city plan set up at this place. Can still import it just fine and transfer settlements will destroy it proper? Or do I need to destroy it via ss2?
The blueprint only adds objects and will not remove any existing ones. I am not familiar withSS2 but whatever has been built using it would need to be removed first, along with any other objects the game allows you to scrap normally without using a scrapping mod.
Thanks to you, I loved working on the settlements. Im using captured settlemens mod and It becomes very good. Fps at avg. 34 to %99 20 so its okey.
When I use your Taffington Boathouse blueprint I can't save. When I tried to save game just freeze but its only in boathouse. Do you know anyting about it?
Sorry, not encountered that issue before and have no idea whatcould be causing it. The blueprint is just a standard settlement made up of vanilla and DLC objects, and so cant understand how it could cause problems when trying to save in the boathouse.
There will be a huge lag after importing a settlement. It will eventually finish the save, but it has to hard bake the new items into the save game. I usually exit the cells containing the settlement and save outside the boundaries of the green areas. I also have tried fast-travel before hard saving, but if the game crashes during the travel you are screwed.
I have been importing a ton of blueprints recently, so I have seen a lot of freezes when saving after a blueprint. You have to leave the area, go as far away as you can, and find an inside cell. Make a new hard save, not a quicksave. Exit the game completely to desktop. Start your game, make another hard save, then sleep. You have to sleep or wait at least 72 hours, and it's recommended to sleep a whole week. If you don't do this and then try to run around or save in the settlement it will start crashing on future saves.
It will also freeze or corrupt the saves you make in an unstable settlement. I know from experience that if you don't let the cells update it will kill your saves and no amount of waiting will stabilize the cells affected.
Your first save after import might take as long as 2-3 minutes, maybe longer. It's because papyrus runs all that stuff in the background, even with logging disabled. I usually don't have any real issues saving one of the Fiddleflap's blueprints. Most are only 20-30 seconds to save, at most. I have this take about 10 seconds with the FFV BPs, but it all depends on your setup, system, and memory. The amount of items in the import is also a huge factor on how long it takes the game to save the data.
These FFV blueprints are extremely stable compared to many others I tried.

First i tried to save after importing and the game froze. Then i reloaded, imported again and tried to fast travel to another location and the game froze aswell. Ok, i had this problem with another blueprint aswell. Turns out that you have to wait several minutes before FO4 transports you to the new location
I doubt you will reply but out of interest how long did you wait when your game "froze"? After importing any large settlement it’s perfectly normal for the game to freeze for up to 10+ mins (depending on the size of the blueprint and the speed of your system), either when saving or the auto save triggers when trying to fast travel for the first time.
This is documented in the Stable Import guide (and also mentioned in the post above yours), the game has not crashed you just need to be patient.
- Preliminary warning: Huge settlement builds will make your game FREEZE upon saving for a long time (10+ minutes and more). It did not crash, be patient.
Another work of art. I just got this stabilized and went back to see it in the daytime. I love it. Your settlements are just making my wasteland a much better place. I might get the Minutemen quest finished for once if I stop all my own building efforts and just call in Fiddleflap's Construction Works. You need to hire Todd Howard just so you can fire him.
I've watched all your building videos, and it is a master work on the subject. Not kidding, I learned a whole lot of new tricks and way to do better layout in the first ten minutes. Those building vids are something everyone interested in building settlements with maximum efficiency and skill should watch. When you see the finished settlements in the game it is even more amazing, knowing how it was created.
Many thanks! This build is one of my personal favourites and really pleased with how it turned out, so great to hear you are also enjoying it and finding the building vids useful!
Just a fyi. You have 2 types of chemistry stations in the bus. if you use the one that looks like a moonshine still you end up outside of the bus because it is placed facing the wrong way. I just deleted that one because it was also mixed in with a cabinet.
I placed that chemistry station mostly for decoration, and rotated it so the little pipe at the back does not stick out the front of the cabinet its placed on. I don’t tend to use the chemistry stations in game, so had no idea using that one would place you outside the bus! Goog to know and thanks for the information!
It's insane to me how good your builds are. Low key, logical, supremely lore friendly. I can't even wrap my head around how much time, effort, and dedication goes into making these. Well done and many thanks.
Definitely. I've commented elsewhere that I'm mostly a Sim Settlements guy, but I'm doing a new survival playthrough and I've been just enjoying the hell out of your builds. You're not trying to cram too many settlers into a settlement and the layouts just make sense. The only issue I've run into is that I want to have one of your builds for as many settlements as possible. But take your time, because I'll just download them as they come.
I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your builds. You are a "Settlement Building Genius" along with several other settlement builders I have used over the years. I would list their names here but I have already given them kudos on each of their mod pages.
And, while I didn't come in here to bash Sim Settlements, I have to weigh in and say I am not a fan at all and leave it at that. Having very little talent and imagination to build my own settlements, I have taken to Dante's Transfer settlements mod and love to import settlements and then tweak them to my liking and playthrough.
Keep up the great work, your talents for creating truly immersive builds is "Top Notch" to say the least!
Yet again, low key immersive and still interesting looking. I am playing New Vegas at the moment, but I am very much looking forward to doing a new FO4 playthrough with as many of your settlements as are available.

I keep my eyes peeled for all of your builds.
Good stuff. Thank you for making these.
