About this mod

Fixes the Ruger Mini-14 (by Ardent117) to be compatible with MK14 weapons using custom animations. Also fixes the recoil of the Mini-14.

What this Fixes:

1) MK14 Compatibility
You will need this mod if you use MK14 EBR Animations (by WarDaddy) or MK14 EBR Redux (by Fallout4Why). Note the MK14 EBR Redux mod is no longer on Nexus. See the Modern Weapon Replacer - MK14 EBR Redux page for more information.

The Ruger Mini-14 by Ardent was put together quickly as a gift to his partner and has some shortcuts taken. Specifically it uses the same animation path as the above mentioned MK14 weapons and will break the aiming animation of the MK14 (see image below).

This mod fixes that issue by decoupling the Mini-14 from the MK14 animations and subgraphs. New AnimTextData files were also generated. These changes do no harm even if you do not use the above MK14 mods.






2) Mini-14 Recoil
Because of who the Ruger Mini-14 was originally made for, the gun has almost no recoil (see GIFs below). While the original mod has a patch to adjust the aim model, the recoil still remains very low.

This mod fixes the recoil by not only adjusting the aim model, but also adjusting the barrel and stock attachments, which had excessive recoil reduction on them.





Installation:
The two files in this mod should overwrite those from the original mod.

In the unlikely event you uncompressed "RugerMini14 - Main.ba2" from the original mod, you will need to remove the extracted loose files. The loose files from that BA2 file will conflict with the MK14 animation files and cause issues.
