In case anyone else has this concern, I'm pretty sure this mod sets a limit on your recruiting *beacon* - as it, limits when it stops attempting to recruit additional settlers. You also have a limit on Settlement population, based on Charisma or SS2 settings, or other mods. That one would prevent you from manually sending someone to a maxed settlement until you raised your population cap via other means.
How do you use this on a SS2 Comms Station, since it doesn't have an actual beacon to activate anything on. Do you have to build a separate recruitment beacon and set the limit through that?
I am loving this mod so far, but I've come up with a problem, I want to convert all my settlements into Raider Outposts and this doesn't seem to work, is there a way I can configure a hard limit to raiders as well.
Hey there, thanks for all the great mods, I use several of them.
This is working exactly as it should with one exception, Vault 88. I originally tried setting a limit using the Vault 88 radio switch that comes built in with the vault, and it kept recruiting beyond the limit. So I turned that off and build a vanilla beacon, but the limit still wasn't being respected.
Since it's working correctly at every other settlement, I'm wondering if there's something unique about Vault 88 since it comes with its own built in radio beacon and recruits settlers as part of the main DLC quest.
This is refusing to stay set at several settlements in my current playthrough. Not sure if it's the mayors (SS2) but some places like Sunshine Tidings or Hangman's Alley just keep getting reset to 0 when I walk away. Don't think it's the mayors or layouts however since Hangman's at least is the same mayor and city plan I used before that worked with this limiter. I have the workshop and SS2 settings off for managing settler limits.
Quick question, I am using SS2 Communication plots. Also, in MCM, I have set up settlers to be limited by charisma. Also, if I set that ON, I understand that the limit is instead 10.
Using this mod, do I have to make any extra modifications? Or it will just overrule any other MCM settings in SS2 and the framework?
Something that just happened my playthrough ... updating WSFW reset this so no limits were set on any of my settlements, even though I'd manually set them previously.
Had this happening to me after the update as well. Had several settlements set to 0 only to find new settlers showing up and the box saying "no limits were set."
hey wanna check, i have a settlement which ive set the limit to 40 and using console to check says the same. However when i try moving a settler back into said up-limited settlement from another it shows as greyed out. Any idea to bypass that?
Even if settlement limit is changed and you can recruit more 10+Charisma, the game still uses the base formula to move settlers. So you need to get 10+Charisma above current settlers to be able to move them.
yeah thanks Marc and Pra for the reply. As Marc mentioned your char takes a part. So i had +30 charisma and it worked for a settlement that i had issues with.
For some reason, the mod doesn't work at all. I have the 2.0.16 vetsion of workshop framework and the latest version of the mod installed, vortex isn't reporting any conflicts. When I click R (in my actual case Mouse5) on the beacon, the menu shows up but when I click any of these options, it just flashes and does nothing. It also reports the settlement as haing 23 of 0 settlers. I tested it in Sanctuary and RR Truck Stop, but I figure it happens anywhere else. I even tried to 'setgs iWorkshopSettlerPopulationMax 50', didn't fix it.
That command won't do anything. This mod affects the WSFW property "iOverrideTotalMaxNPCs" on a certain workbench. If you want to set it via console, click the workbench, use "setpv iOverrideTotalMaxNPCs <number here>". You can look at it's current value using "sv iOverrideTotalMaxNPCs".
I get the 'R) Modify the settler limit'. Thing is, when I open it and click on '+X settlers', it flashes and does nothing. Btw I have no mod modifying the beacon as far as I know and Vortex isn't reporting any conflicts either.
Hmm same here, all settlements are filled to the brim. "has 22 of 5 settlers" is the response from the mod at the switch. Tried this even at new empty settlements, set 10 and after some time the happiness went down because beds are not enough.

Even with Workshop Framework you can decouple it from charisma, but it doesn't decouple that send settler screen.
Many Thanks

Thank you
The setting which this mod changes is something WSFW added. I forwarded this to KG.
