Description:
Armament, crafted by Utherien, is a comprehensive ammunition overhaul for Fallout 4. This mod replaces Bethesda's lackluster in-game ammo cartridges, casings, ammo boxes, and projectiles with high-quality assets. Each asset is meticulously designed to closely resemble real-life counterparts, enhancing the authenticity of the shooting experience. Armament continually updates with new ammunition and includes "Immersive Damage" by jarari for streamlined damage calculations.

"Immersive Damage" by jarari is a Fallout 4 mod designed to streamline and simplify damage calculations. The mod nullifies magical damage calculations from perks, legendary effects, and in-game values. It establishes a straightforward framework focused on balancing by minimizing the number of parameters affecting final damage. Only the base damage of ballistic weapons (excluding energy weapons and explosives) and the damage values of associated ammunition are considered, providing a cleaner and more transparent damage system. It is MCM configurable, and is enabled by default. DirectHitDeadEye  are highly recommended to compliment this.

To Enhance This: a simple RobCo Patcher ini file that reduces all base weapon's damage to 0 is included by default. This is done so as to focus on ammunition being the damage dealer more so than the weapon itself. Due note that any custom ammunition introduced by a mod author will no longer deal any type of damage with this enabled.

If you do not want this enabled, simply delete the ini file located in Armament - Ammunition and Ballistics Overhaul\F4SE\Plugins\RobCo_Patcher\weapon.

Compatibility and Features:
  • "Immersive Damage" by jarari: Streamlines damage calculations, nullifying magical damage elements and emphasizing base damage of ballistic weapons.
  • Custom damage values: Ammunition now has set damage tied to the ammunition record.
  • DeadEye Compatibility.
  • Unique models and textures: Handcrafted, realistic proportions based on real-life ammunition.
  • Leveled List Integration: Note conflicts with mods like Caliber Complex or New Calibers.
Known Conflicts:
  • Conflicts with mods replacing ammo records and projectiles, such as Spitfire and Better Locational Damage. Users may need to resolve conflicts in xedit or create patches.
  • True Damage is no longer compatible with Armament.
Known Issues:
  • Projectile visibility due to the physics engine. Speed adjustments may be addressed in future updates.
Permissions:
  • Gun authors can include Armament's munitions in their weapons with proper credit to myself and TheBigLidowski. Cartridges/shells are allowed for cosmetic use only. OTs-14 GROZA and Remington Model 700 are a few examples just to name a few.
