This is a Beta version that hasn't been released on Nexus yet.
Our Discord Exclusive Updates does the same as this Nexus Version, except that it removes the Rules Editor, but offers "Smart Updates"! What does that mean? The script will now use your existing cache on previous Complex Item Sorter runs and only update the records needed instead redoing the full list each time.. hence a "Smart Update*!

UPDATE: Okay, I think I found my problem - I am using the newest version of FO4Edit, which the Nexus version doesn't support. I guess I am off to Discord, now.
The latest xEdit version safe to use is v4.1.5f. v4.1.5g and newer have renamed the field "Addon Index" to "Parent Combination Index" and as a result, either Complex Sorter needs to update to account for that, or every mod with a Complex Sorter INI needs to update their INI with the new name.
For anyone using the Discord xEdit builds (versions later than 4.1.5f) there is a new beta update that is compatible with versions up to at least v4.1.5m on the Discord server linked in the sticky post above.
Every time I try to use the x64 version when it reaches 7% of the total and 90% of the rules loading I get an error (Runtime error 216 at 000000000041188A). If I use the x32 version I don't get that error, but then when it reaches 90% of the total I get an out of memory message. I have disabled 4estGimp - M8r98a4f2's Complex Item Sorter Enhancements - Spanish and now it reaches up to 35% of the total but I get Runtime error 216 at 000000000041188A again
Are you on a Steam Deck or Linux? Me and someone else are getting that error and we both run Linux, and I haven't seen anyone else get that issue. Secondly, do you have any Sim Settlements 2 mods installed? That's what causes the Out of Memory issue for a lot of people
hello I'm having a problem when using the complex sorter when launching it though vortex using Fo4edit i have screenshots but not sure how to upload them if anyone can help i'd appreciate thanks

not sure do i never activtate the mod in mo2? is it only to generate a patch or both im confused i have this active all the time and just created the first patch do i disable the mod itself or not?
I concur, I'd also like to know. I have a collection via wabbajack and when I run the .bat file via MO2, it doesn't show me the mods loaded in MO2, could you please help me?
fo4edit recognizes the game path via Registry, so if you have two instances of the game it can only read the one that matches the path defined in the registry located here Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout4 hope this helps
Ok, so the above no longer works as there was code added to xEdit to allow specifying the directory through command line arguments. You need to edit the Complex Sorter.bat file and on line 85 add the path to your stock game folder, like so:
Not working for me even with the corect path to game fo4edit starts in appdata\local... path with "no modules in the data folder error", was working before dont know what hapend... ps: sorry for my english...
Thank you lightsourced, this helped me as well. I have two instances and had to add an argument in MO2 for FO4 Edit to find my correct plugin list. Added the same argument on line 85 like you said and complex found the correct list.
Doesnt work with the new version of FO4edit, but the older version it guides you to, does not function with the nextgen update archives (irregardless of if you roll back the version or not). If i attempt to use the patcher with the new xedit version it takes upwards of 3 hours with a moderate load order and when the ESP is enabled, it simply crashes the game on start.
uses MO2, xEdit 4.1.5f and version 1.13beta2 of Complex Sorter (on Discord Collective Modding discord) or use cm-toolkit app so that NG files can be read by xedit version 4.0.4 (patching them from NG to OG)-> for me this is the best option
