Hi, so far there are 5 recipes! The 2 you are missing are unlocked by magazines in two of our building plans
Spoiler:
Show
One is in a plot where you might end up sitting and reading magazines, and it's not in a library. The other is in a dubious restaurant. Let me know if you'd like the actual building plan names
The recipe for Cait’s cat pizza can be found in the 2x2 recreational (or municipal sanitation?) “The Shitter”. The recipe for Raider pizza is in the 2x2 commercial “Raider Grill” - it requires ingredients which are sold by the Raider Grill vendor, but custom vendors can be a bit wonky at times.
Kinggath had to re-upload the latest version of SS2 because he initially uploaded with the ba2-archives packed in the NG-version of creation kit, so that the archive header was set to the new versions (7 and 8) instead of the old version (1). He reverted to the pre-NG version and re-uploaded.
However, that has no bearing on this mod since it has not been updated with the NG-version of the creation kit, meaning this mod is compatible for both players who have and haven't upgraded. I have reverted to the old version of ck until either the new archive headers are patched by Bethesda, or long enough time has passed that F4SE and dependent mods have updated, and the player base has moved to NG.
This mod in itself doesn't cause crashes. It has been verified by myself and several others on various load orders, on the old FO4 version (before April 25th) as well as on the new NG-version.
Crashes in FO4 can be caused by anything from a broken mesh or texture to graphics driver updates and not least mod conflicts. You can get the best information on what is causing the crash in your game from the Buffout 4 logs. If you run the logs through Auto Scanner you get more readable and detailed information on what could conflict and tips on how to stabilize your load order and game.
If you get a report from Buffout 4 or the Auto scanner that indicates this mod or a mod conflict involving this mod, please post the crash logs here so I can take a look at them.
After the new update, I'm having issues with a couple of SS2 mods. This one included. I can't seem to get past the main menu with a new game or when loading a save with this mod enabled. The same goes for : Pra's Random add-on SS2 Superstructures Junktown 2 It's not crashing. It just never actually loads. Any ideas?
@Moldius Generally when you’re stuck on the main menu loading screen you have reached the script data limit. This can happen either with several large addon packs (such as ours) or if you have lots of city plans. The solution is to install Baka Scrap heap if you haven’t already, this ups the limit and should let you load into the game. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46340
I gave it another shot with your advice. Unfortunately, no luck. I'll play around with it more later. Another patch is coming on Monday to screw it up again... Everything was working before this damned update.
After a lot more investigating, it was the city plan megapack that was stopping the others from working. Once disabled, I was able to start new games and load without issue. Odd that this has only been an issue since the new update. But, at least it's sorted.
This is an odd bug that a couple of players have encountered. I think might be due to a mod conflict - do you know if you have any mods that make changes to the minutemen quests?
From the mod description, WATM does make changes to the minutemen quests (including First Step) but it doesn't say if they changed how the MinRecruit00 stage 400 is set. This could of course just be a vanilla bug too.
EDIT: The only other thing I can think about would be if you'd started the Tenpines quest without going through Preston, meaning that it wouldn't be the First Step quest you got but one of the other radiant settlement quests "help, my friend has been kidnapped etc".

can not enter game when this mod is enabled. i click to start game and the main menu music continues with the power armour backround looping and loading sign at bottom right but never enters actual loading screen and never loads game. as soon as i disable this mod it loads fine.
The infinite loading is usually because you have reached the script data limit. The mod Baka Scrap heap increases the limit and lets you load in to the game (I think Buffout 4 might also increase the script data limit but I’m unsure, you may have to google it).
You might otherwise try to disable some city plans that you aren’t using, since they usually add lots of script data in the properties for placement of items. This would invalidate any save that had the plans already in them, though.
Hey there, having an issue with the Ice Cream machine quest.
I'm stuck on the part of installing the spare part, I clicked on it initially when it was broken correctly, went and got the refrigeration kit. But now I'm going to the machine and there's nothing for me to click on, I can just access the machine's inventory, but I can't repair it and the quest won't progress.
Hi! Quests can be finicky. If you run the console command "sqs WV_IcecreamFixer" what does it say? Especially for stages 30 and 60, which are related to fixing the machine with spare parts.
And what is the objective in your quest journal for "Frozen Delights"?
OK, thanks! Have you refreshed the plot? It seems like something has removed the blocking activator that should cover the ice cream machine until it has been fixed.
If refreshing doesn't help, make a backup save and try forcing the quest to fix the machine with the console command "setstage WV_IcecreamFixer 60"
If this still doesn't work, try "set Myrm_IcecreamUnlock to 0" - this should allow you to make ice cream (hopefully!) and let the vendor of the plot sell ice cream.
Setting the stage to 60 appears to have worked, it completed the quest and it came up on my screen that I fixed it, and the refrigeration unit was removed.
Not sure if it matters, but on the ASAM Sensor, it says it's operation but can't afford upgrade costs. But it's already a lvl 3 plot. Not sure if that matters at all but figured I'd point it out.
Great to see that it seems to work now! As long as the plot has power you should be able to make ice cream from the default recipes (you whip up the batter in a regular cooking station and then freeze in the machine. And then off to find more recipes in the world!)
The building plan which has a magazine printer that unlocks new magazines is in the core SS2 mod - one of the industrial 2x2, if that's the one you mean. We do have an interior building plan with a printing press, but it's only decorative.
Glad the ice cream machine is working! There's a prompt to fix it when you first build the plot. It asks you if you have one of two specific skills (which you probably had since you didn't get the quest), and if you have no skills you get a mini-quest to pick up spare parts in a nearby industrial location.
I am having an issue where this mod causes Fo4 to load indefinitely upon attempting to load a save. I was wondering if there are any tips for how one should set up the load order, or if something else can be done in order to avoid this happening to this current mod and with other large SS2 packs. Thank you.
The infinite loading is usually because you have reached the script data limit. The mod Baka Scrap heap increases the limit and lets you load in to the game (I think Buffout 4 might also increase the script data limit but I’m unsure, you may have to google it).

Thank you, one quick question, does Baka Scrap Heap or Buffout 4 need Microsoft Visual C++ to work? Or could I just download it onto Vortex and have it work out of the gate.

It says my current stage is 30 when I run that command.
The current objective is "Install the spare parts in the ice cream machine".
I have the Refrigeration Unit in my inventory, if that matters.

Have you had any problems getting the ice cream quest and machine to work? I had someone report a bug but couldn't replicate it.
