Changelog 2.2 Moved the door at the Sunshine Dam to fix issues with precombined meshes 2.1 -Sanctuary receives some power -A few lights will start working again
Hey... Sounds really interesting... One question though... Ranger Cabin and Mystic Pines are no vanilla settlements. Do this Mod convert them to settlements? Or do you have to install settlement mods? And if you have to, because they also modify the cell they are in, which one to install?
You can use the output for custom settlements. The power will just not be added to your custom settlement stats. I think those are popular places for custom ones, that's why I added them.
Is there anyway to cheat to make these work? I'm using a mod that has replaced everything and the bosses are gone so I can't even spawn them in to get the buttons to function. I looked for the EIDs in FO4 but they don't seem to correlate to anything that I can spawn in to work. "TODSunshhunter" for one.
Where's sanctuary power conduit? there is no picture and i give up after searching half an hour
Edited : For anyone who have same problem, see a yellow thing in front of ruined house before bridge to red rocket. The conduit is at the right side of road
Love this mod! Being able to repair and restore parts of the old world infrastructure, IMHO should've been part of the vanilla settlement system, beyond just the Troubled Waters quest. Turn on the Water Dams does however conflict with 2 other mods I use, Damn Apocalypse and Lootable World. Anyone out there know of any compatibility patches for these?
I found the Dam's Director's key (Sunshine Dam) but it doesn't open his residence or provide anything I can find. I've been down in Operations at the locks and the dam. What do I do exactly to get this to move forward?
What do I do if the power conduits are broken? Red Rocket got attacked and when doing some repairs I found that the conduit was broken and not providing power. I highlighted it in workshop mode and the repair UI pops up but pressing the repair button does nothing. There's also no component required.
A good companion mod to this is glitchfinder's Poseidon Energy Turbine 18-F , which you can repair and unlocks a 100 power compact substation generator for each settlement. Also generates 999 power itself as a settlement.
I know gameplay balance is a concern, but I think the power output you get for most of the settlements should be doubled. It's a little underwhelming to get +10-20 power on average after some facing some serious boss encounters upon turning on each dam.
I believe they're all vanilla spillways and dams in the game. The Charles River Dam is the spill way/lock near Oberland Station that in lore caused Forest Grove to flood. Covenant Dam is the tiny one at the end of the lake (under a freeway).
I was concerned that this mod would be incompatible with Sim Settlements 2's story (an early quest has you briefly going to the Forest Grove lock/dam for a fight), but I'm happy to report that things seem to be working fine.
The water effect for Sunshine Dam weirdly looks like it's flowing backwards into the spillway outlet, though.

Its one of the fun mechanics.
