Nice work, but it seems to be causing a small inconvenience when used with Ruddy88's Simple Sorter, which the author of Armor And Clothing Overhaul recommends. I get double sorting tags on all vanilla and modded items you've covered. For example: [Melee] (Melee) Baseball Bat.
The icons still work, but it bothers me like hell, so a version of your mod without the sorting tags would be appreciated. Also, is your mod compatible with Even Better Mod Descriptions and which way should I order them if that's the case?
This might be a little bit late, but I have/had sort of the same problem. I use ruddy's sorter too, the thing is that it doesn't work with CC mods, at least not for me. So to fix the sorting for my CC mods I had to come up with some solution, that doesn't involve too much modding since I don't have the knowledge to make my own sorter. So I installed this one and CCO from Mat1024.
The double tags are fairly easy to fix yourself with xEdit. I've fixed the ones I found so far in my game just by removing Nomenklatura's tags on those items. If you need help send me a pm or something. I won't share the file though since it might not be complete and its a douche move against Mat1024 and his work.
I am afraid I do not use RSS or EBMD. I tried pretty much all the sorters out there and most are too sophisticated for me. I provide an optional Nomenklatura XML file if you would like to try.
As David mentioned, you can remove the tags in xEdit using the default script "Replace text in EDID and FULL".
For the purpose of changing sorting tags manually, there are two easy ways of doing it without having to do it for every record one by one: 1. xEdit Scripts - Add and Replace Strings: This is a xEdit script made by me that I use all the time to bulk edit records in a variety of ways. 2. xTranslator: This isn't just a mod translator. It also features a header/tags system that allows you to store custom tags and apply them to records with a few mouse clicks.
This is a great mod! It should have so many more downloads! I think a lot of people don't know it's out there, because it does not show up in standard searches. I only found out about it from hitting the "random" button a few times.
If I could make one little suggestion: add "VIS-G AWKCR Better Sorting Fix" to the name! All 5 of those words are common search terms. People searching for any of those things will stumble on this mod and use it. You put too much work into this mod that WORKS well for it to be so obscure in the search terms.
Please, add on to the mod name. "Nomenklatura: VIS-G AWKCR Better Sorting Fix" will get this mod noticed!
Thanks for the comment and suggestion! I am actually moving away from AWKCR, AE & VIS-G. After a few hundreds hour into the game, I find that the framework is too convoluted and sometimes unstable. I am much happier with ACO, CF & RSS, they work well together. The legacy AWKCR, AE & VIS-G files will of course remain available, but I will not update them anymore.

You most likely need DEFUI. It is listed as a requirement.
I am replacing LBPAC by Power Armor Revisions (PAR).
