Could something similar be done for upgrading _cities_ too?

KG sounded like he was opposed to that. Also, since I myself don't use cities this much, it has not much of a priority for me.

But technically, yes. There are console commands to force-upgrade them, too

Ah I didn't think about console commands. I was just wondering because I wanted to make a couple of settlements automatically Level 3 for lore reasons (without using Conqueror), so I end up just sleeping for 100+ days in a row lol, but money to speed up would've worked also

Console commands sound much easier however

Love the idea. I always have so many caps I have no idea what to do with them anymore. Even if I bought out all the inventory of every store in the world I would still have enough caps to do it all over again. The game needs more cap sinks and this is a good one, don't make it cheaper, make it more expensive if anything. Glad there's a MCM option to increase the cost.

    Excellent work.
Support for Martial L4's in the works I assume.

There are no martial L4s. If you have seen that on SirLach's plots, that's a bug. I now made sure that L4 is not possible for non-agriculturals.

First of all thanks for this spectacular mod. I mostly play on Survival difficulty so I don't want to change difficulty in order to use console when a bug happens in Sims Settlements. If I may suggest, can you make an extra option in order to instantly upgrade to level 3 in exchange for lots of caps. If you are busy, I am familiar with FO4Edit and Creation Kit and I believe (with your suggestions) I can force plots to upgrade.

I keep getting a window popping up saying 'plot upgrade failed'. Recently updated UFO4P and SS, and have updated this mod to 1.3 as well. Anyone know what's going on?

Yes, I figured it out now. It is something which changed in the recent SimSettlements, which I didn't notice.

1.3.1 now requires SimSettlements 4.2.5 or greater. I imagine it will show this error on earlier versions now.

What about cheaper versions? Like half or 5 times less expensive? (or for that matter more expensive that later game rich players would probably prefer).

(I probably would go for half or /3 but as is and free are two too extremes for me).

yes, I probably should add the option to make it way cheaper. I think I went a little overboard

Yeah, I LOVE the idea, but for those of us who use scarcity mods, this is a LOT of caps.

Of course, I can just edit in fo4....

If you are willing to cheat, you can just cheat-force the plot to upgrade right away.

Click the plot (the pole or the floor thing) in the console, then use one of the commands below.

      For regular plots, it's
      cf unlocklevel
For advanced industrials, and branched in general, it's
      setpv bIsUpgradeReady true

Thanks so much for making this mod, it really helps speed up with plot changes and plot re-upgrades! The ability to see which settler name (via Rename Anything) is assigned to which plot is also very handy.

One small request - if you ever update this mod, could you include the settler name feature into the error message that is shown when we try to upgrade a Level 3 plot (i.e. "This plot cannot be upgraded any further.") That way we will be able to see the assigned settler name at any plot level.

It is supposed to be in the City Manager's Desk under Tools. Maybe you looked in the wrong place?
