Discovered this bug, and will try this fix. Now, if only we could get Fritsch to stand outside the Nukacade so we don't have to do useless loading screens . . ..

This solution looks neater than the 'console > click on door > disable > kill the mofo > enable > rinse and repeat' thing that I have been doing. Thanks!
Admittedly I just tcl through that thing, the game does not seem to care how you arrive at the quest marker, as long as you do And after the fights it is actually open, woohoo.
You're welcome. Yes, this weekend I finally became tired of doing reload-from-outside-building (may take several attempts) or console-command through door so decided to look at the issue. The door worked perfectly before one of the official FO4 updates (I forget which version) and began affecting two characters.
