    Sim Settlements 2 Version
SS2 version is live here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48700

    Future Updates
I have officially abandoned the SS1 version of Vault-Tec Tools and will no longer be supporting it.

    ESP & ESL Versions
The mod started as a normal ESP. The ESL version was introduced later. The two versions are not compatible with each other. If you started a game with one version, you must stick to that version. If you are starting a new game, I recommend the ESL version.

    Dynamic Furniture
Ideally, I want to split Dynamic Furniture off in to it's own mod, or a framework for other mods to make use of. As it is currently, it needs an extensive rewrite to better manage the game's resources. I currently am not playing Fallout 4 or working on new Fallout 4 projects so this is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

If you're using the ESL version and the menu keeps disappearing, there's an easy fix.

The quest SV88_SettlementMenuManager inside the plugin still points to the plugin's .ESP version. You can create a small patch with xEdit and change the reference from .ESP to .ESL

After that, use "cqf sv88_settlementmenumanager installmenus" in console. I didn't tested but I guess that with a new game you don't need to run this command, but it's needed if installed on an ongoing save.

*Sorry about my english (it's not my native language).

Thanks, I'll try to get this patched next week. I won't be able to this week as I'll busy with the holiday.

Glad to help. Just to confirm, with a new game the console command is not needed (i had to restart because companion replacer needed a new game... Bethesda being Bethesda).

Having issues where certain dynamic furniture models are not loading in game. When I place them down it just eats my scrap and doesnt even render an invisible hit box

For some reason I can't find the dynamic furniture anywhere anymore, it was there before. Checked all the menus already, does anyone know what could it be?

Can you please add the furniture as a optional mod without the SMM requirement? There's no way we can use it on a ongoing playthrough that had no SMM installed previously, as SS never required SMM.

    Additional Notes on 1.1.3
The changes to the workshop menu are mostly to keep it in line with changes I've made for the upcoming SS2 version. I'm also hoping this fixes issues some players had getting the VTT menus to appear. If they still don't and you are using SMM, try WSFW instead.

Several of the bugs that were fixed were ones that I found while working on the SS2 version and went back to the SS1 version to see if they were there as well.

The Gear Door Placement Helper automatically selecting the Gear Door building plan was something that I tried to get working for the 1.0 release, but never had any luck with it. After I got it working in SS2, I decided to try again for SS1 and figured out what I was doing wrong.

My upload speed is awful and it makes uploading the mod several times a pain (Nexus, then Bethesda twice for PC and XBox). So I decided to change the ESL version to be an optional file that contains only the ESL file. You will still need the ESP download to get the BA2 files. This way players can also rename the ESL file to ESP if they'd rather use a ESL-flagged ESP. The original ESP will continue to be the primary release for future updates.

Samutz, thank you for the sticky note. I have been hoping this would come to SS2.
This add-on is one of my all-time favorites. The furniture was next level
However, you decide to handle it in the future I know I will always be grateful for the hours I spent with this addon.

HAHAHAHA, "Now a totally selfish statement."  Uituit's into darkness mod just doesn't feel quite right without your mod in there, so I am super happy you are thinking about a SS2 conversion.  Really-Happy
    Thank you!

    Hi, I'm a big fan!
I know you said you wouldn't release a ss2 version, but would you consider maybe releasing a version with just the dynamic furniture? I LOVE putting the booths and stool markers around my settlements. If not, thanks anyway for the amazing mod!

Probably not. Two years ago I had plans to spin off dynamic furniture in to its own mod/framework, but now I doubt I'll ever find the time to do it.

Could you convert this to work with Sim Settlements 2?

It's unlikely. I lost some of my source files a while back and haven't been able to recover them. Also, I haven't looked in to what SS2 even is because I lost interest a long time ago.

Does anyone know why I am no receiving any power in my vault?

I loaded the vaultland city plan, and watched it build... but nothing I place in the vault gets power. Everything should be already set up within a city plan, no??

I can't help with Vaultland issues, it's a different addon pack from this one and I had no involvement with it.

I have an issue with one of the plots. The way that these SS plots snap sometimes you can't tell that they're going to have items clipping into the walls until they get done being built. I had this happen with the "Give it a Shot" plot. It's not listed on the mod page here, but it seems to be the one you have named Ordinary Clinic. Anyway, after moving the plot and telling it destroy the plot, but rebuild the same one, I'm left with a remnant of the entire plot in the original location, just turned 90 degrees from the where the new one is. All items are there, including the desk, the decorations on the desk, the gurney, the vault chair, and the vault crates. So far nothing I've done will get rid of them. Refreshing the plot doesn't work and running the tools from SS holotape doesn't work. I'm at a loss here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here's what it did:

I don't think I can help much with this. That plot is a very basic SS plot and spawns the objects using the normal SS methods, unlike some of my other plots that use custom scripts. I know objects being left behind was a somewhat common SS problem the last time I played, usually caused by script lag, but I don't recall how to fix it. You might be better off asking in the SS community, such as the forums.
