sorry for bothering you again, author......star paladin's arm decal doesn't seem fix to me. I tried all three worn, scratched and new version. none of them works. the decal still remain as I said in previous comment, only has a diamond shape in it, rather than like improved bos redux original's look
because this is another issue, so I add a new comment, author.
so star paladin's decal texture seems not showing accurately, I tried it with improved bos redux, however the decal becomes a square of red, instead of the original like in improved bos redux.
Just a small heads up Ablaze, the fomod installer for the BoS scratches options (the one that allows you to pick either only minor scratches or the worn version) is pointing to the wrong image filenames in the ModuleConfig.xml file, it's not a big deal but since I see you did include the preview images I figured I should let you know since at the moment they aren't being displayed in the installer.
@kevkas: Looks like the whole installer was broken. I guess at some point I wanted to include a third texture option for the main decals and setting up the folder structure but never worked on those textures and I didn't made any changes to the xml file. Then I corrected the bug in one of the textures and just packed all files in an archive and uploaded it without realising that nothing could be installed with a mod manager because all files paths were wrong. Now I feel pretty dumb for uploading something before testing it beforehand. Guess I'm getting old.
I installed the mod through a mod manager and the correct textures showed up in the data folder and the preview images are working now.
Yeah I noticed the broken image paths, but to be honest I didn't even double check if the actual file paths were working lol. Good thing I decided to give you the heads up on the images then, otherwise who knows when you might have picked on the installer broken paths for the other stuff. xD
It happens, don't worry about it. Thanks for fixing them.
Hi there! The Minutemen paint job is a separate texture file that is applied to a power armor. The files included in my mod are like stickers which will be pasted on top of an existing paint job. Since the scope of my mod was to increase details on those stickers I won't make upscaled versions of complete power armor paint jobs. Here is a mod I would recommand for you:
this might be a question too late to ask. but do you have any ideas why the arm decal will start vanish when I get closer to look? it's not vanishing completely, but losing the shape on outside
and if you don't mind me ask another question. what are star paladin and knight commander's decal for? since vanilla doesn't include them, it must use with other mods, right?
Can we have a version where the colors instead of red are blue on the rankings? Just in case for this upcoming mod called Power Armor Lore Restored where they just showed blue rankings.
The mod author of Power Armor Lore Restored can use my decals and would only need to adjust the RGB layer of each decal in GIMP or Photoshop to the color they prefer. More details in the permission tab.
Personally, I think it's better if said mod author change the color by themself because I don't know which version of the decals they like more and which blue tone it should be.
I just downloaded this mod, but i seem to be missing something. By simply installing this mod it does not add the Star decal to the PA Military paint job like in the screenshots.
Is there an instalation error on my end? Or am i supposed to use another mod that allows me to add the decal seperatly? I think the vanilla militray paint does not come with any Star or similar decals.
If there is another mod you used to get the look you have in your screenshots can you pls let me know?
Hi Reaktorbot, this mod simply replace the decal on power armors so you should see the star decal on military paint jobs. No other mods are required. Just apply the military paint job on a T45, T51, T60 or X-01 power armor chest piece and the star decal should appear.
Please check the follwing file: Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Actors\PowerArmor\T60BodyDecal_Army_d.DDS
Do you see this file in this folder after installing my mod?
Yes i do see that file after installing it. I am useing Mod Organizer 2 btw.
"this mod simply replace the decal on power armors" As fas as i can remember the vanilla military paint does not have any decals, so maybe your mod cant "replace" something that isnt there?
Its supposd to work on all 4 standard power armor vanilla military paints, right?
Oops. I checked my load order what's the problem here. You're right and I was wrong, only the military paint job for the T60 PA uses the star decal. The paint job for the other 3 main power armors are missing this decal. I'm using a mod that fixed this: Consistent Power Armor Overhaul and totally forgot about that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I updated the description. Thanks for pointing this out. Have a Kudos!
These are cool, my suggestion is about how clean the outlines are. For US Army and Vault-Tec, the super clean hi-res outlines are fine, and reinforce the idea that these things were manufactured in the old world.
But for Gunners in particular, an even more imperfect outline would "sell" these decals better. I just think they should look more "home made", with a much less controlled outline, perhaps some paint runs and drips?
BOS looks good, but maybe a slightly less perfect outline would tell their story a little better?
By the way all the weathering options you're offering look really good too!
That's good feedback, thanks for that. You're totally right about the outlines they should look more worn.
I'm working on an update. Took me some hours to get the textures to look like this but I'm not sure if they're looking too scratched. How do you like this design?

I had that mod on my wacht list for a while but for whatever reason i decided not to install it. I guess now its time.
Thx again for the halt and thx for this mod of yours, looks really nice ingame :D
