I hated how bland my settlements looked without "shadows", but adding lights with dynamic shadows tanked the framerate on my 1070ti. I wondered where the approximating shadow lights had gotten off to, and why nobody'd made any decent light mods that added gobo effects like Beth has in their interior spaces. This mod's great, I really like it!

Sounds like you previously uninstalled another settlement mod which use a scripted menu. Your problem has nothing to do with my mod because I don't use scripts to integrate items into the workshop menu.
After looking into it I have to admit that 6 of 8 plugins had this mistake. I forgot to clean the masters from the plugins. Thanks a lot for pointing that out. Have a Kudos!
At first I wasn't sure how I felt about duplicate lights and having your lights be a different brightness than my other modded ones. After actually trying it out though, it's pretty great. When I just want the room lit up I use the standard lights, then when I want to add some more detail in some spots when I'm adding the final touches I use a few of your lights.
VERY cool. I don't have any specific ideas but I'd definitely love to see more. Maybe not all necessarily Gobo lights but I think a lot of lights could use an upgrade in terms of what they cast. For instance I notice the basic lightbulb has a wide spread and fairly smooth falloff whereas... basically every light is blindingly bright in a very fine circle. Hard to work with.Not enough of them cast the light their shape would suggest- such as the high-tech wall lights you tweaked. Whatever you come up with, I'd love to see more. Great work.
There's a mod that does exactly what you're looking for. Got released just yesterday. The name is Workshop Lighting Overhaul. Can't link you there because I'm typing on my tablet.
I'm more interested in adding fancy effects like gobos to make use of that engine feature and to provide something differend. :)
