Quick question: should the latest version v3.6.3 of your mod still work with old-gen version v1.10.163.0 of Fallout 4? (I ask because I've read .ba2 packed files changed format in the latest version of the game)
I haven't updated my modded installation of Fallout 4 yet due to serious performance and stability issues indroduced by the latest official update. Therefore todays update to the Wetness Shader Fix works well with 1.10.163.
To clarify: the next gen update will still work (more or less) with mods made for 1.10.163, at least the game will load them and their BA2 archives. Only mods requiring the script extender MUST be updated by their authors. The problem with plugin mods (mods containing an esl, esp or esm file) is that changing some specific things from the game will cause massive performance problems and can lead to CTDs. One of those things is editing any NPC from the game. Right now it is adviced to revert the update if you plan on using many mods until Bethesda fixes their mistakes.
Great, just checking, I'm on version v1.10.163.0 as well because the next-gen update seemed to bring more problems than solutions (and I also wasn't super crazy about the new content tbh).
I reported that to the staff and they said it's on my end. On the other hand, the GIFs worked for years on my mod pages so I don't know why they don't load for some time now. I tried different tools to create them and none of them work. I spent a whole afternoon trying to fix this. Looks to me that nexusmods changed something when modernizing the layout which also affects how my GIFs loads.
Are these texture and mesh replacers? If so why use a ba2+esp and not just data files? Also if they are replacers, is it safe to just break open the ba2 and pour the files into my data folder and pitch the esp? Thank you. Awesome mod
Sadly, while the metals look a lot better with the fix, the clothes and hair are now completely buggered. The former has almost no shine, and the latter often looks like plastic. I wonder if this could be fixed.
Does this work on Next-Gen despite the fact that it has not been updated since before NG was released? Yes, it is at least functional.

*Now... it should go without saying, despite the fact that I have not encountered any issues with my mid-playthrough install of this mod yet, there is a possibility of underlying compatibility issues. So I am not at all responsible for anyone's game saves, that's on you. But I'll keep it in my load order for now, until I find a reason not to.
