Revisted and edited, Feb 2023, for brevity & clarity:
This mod only changes weather for half the map! It doesn't cover the Blasted Forest (central to west-ish woodier areas), Coastal Marshes (southeast) or Swamps (inland from the marshes) plus any other smaller spots also using those weathers. The author is wrong - those other region types do have % vanilla chances listed to them! And the "Default" in this mod does not overrule them. I've had no end of trouble chasing my frgging tail trying to figure out why so many mods were apparently randomly borking my weather! It was only when I finally figured out how to use FO4edit and started comparing this mod to how Unified Commonwealth Weather tweaks the vanilla files that I realised the issue. I've now been running UCW (tweaked to have crappier weather percentages) for long enough to confirm it. I appreciate when this mod came out in 2015, knowledge of the game was very limited compared to today, but I must unendorse More Common Weather. I'm amazed it wasn't flagged loudly (just one previously unanswered "it don't work" report in 7 years until me), but hope my info helps others.

Btw: If anyone likes crappy weather and doesn't like the idea of messing around with FO4edit, I guess they could try both mods, with UCW followed by More Common Weather, so the game takes UCW's edits generally across the Commonwealth and then just takes the "crappy" edits to the half of the map that More Common Weather actually has any edits for. Not tried doing that myself, but might work - in theory. Note: The No Godrays Whilst Keeping Volumetric Lights mod works with these mods, but make sure to put it last.

Great work! I really enjoy crappy weather. More rain is always good :-)

Can you make a dynamic mod, which we can adjust percentages thru MCM on the fly?

Just wondering if you could possibly make a corrective mod to adjust the Fog to not so dense? I have bad eyes and on my screen when it is foggy I can stand at the front door of a house and cannot see the street. Maybe there is something I can adjust?
In spite of my comments above I love this mod. Just needs some tweaking for me.
Thanks a bunch for all your work.

If you open up FO4edit and navigate to "weathers" you can edit each one directly.

The value you want to change is "fog power" for both day and night, under each weather.

To DECREASE the strength of the fog you need to INCREASE the power. It's kind of the opposite of what you'd think!

If you hate fog a good place to start would be to pick a minimum fog power that you find acceptable. Lets say that number is ".40". Now what you need to do is change any weather that is below that fog power to ".40". Now the foggiest of weathers are still at your acceptable range. Anything that is above your acceptable range doesn't need to be changed.

I got this when I tried installing via NMM:
"Error: http://filedelivery.nexusmods.com/1151/More Common Weather - NMM Installer-2243-2-0.zip?fid=10362&ttl=1483655888&ri=8192&rs=8192&setec=4512d852d1c7517af9b5e9cbb1f8b102 , unable to finish the download."

Gonna try manual, though I'm assuming it'll work

I don't think this is working for me. I'm using NMM to install and configure it. My other mods are working. And I enabled the text in the fallout4prefs.ini file. I've tried selecting the different weather changes, such as radiation only, etc. But my weather stays clear. How can I fix this problem?

Did you try waiting/fast travel.? If so then i would try invalidating archives. Super easy by changing/adding one line in your ini. Just google fallout4 invalidate archive. Also if your using bilago configuration tool make sure plugin are enabled.

Unfortunately it doesn't. They edit the same files. I love True Storms' new weather and other edits, but I also love this mod's Crappy Weather settings. I want nearly ever-present precipitation!!
