Damanding has agreed to take over future development of Homemaker! He'll be primarily uploading on Bethnet, but I'll be making sure the versions stay current here as well. Version 1.74 contains a lot of QOL improvements, bug fixes, new and better snap points, mod integrations (like Do It Yourshelf) and more! Version 1.75 contains new prewar content by Gloolax. 1.76 Contains yet more pre-war content from Gloolax and MunkySpunk. Fog Condensers are being worked on, but were shelved from this release due to an issue with materials.

For those having issues with the new update: The problems people seem to be having seem to be tied to existing saves, or not having SMM installed. Install SMM, run the SMM holotape menu fix option in game. Then install the Homemaker Menu Fixer in the optional files.
I have no clue if I'm just stupid or what, but I can't get this to work at all. I made sure that SMM was installed, created a fresh save, then added this mod. After installing Homemaker, I opened the game, verified that it showed up in my list of mods and is first in the load order, then launched the game. However, I don't have the Homemaker holotape, and I don't see any content from this mod in the game. Can anybody help?
Downgrade or forget. Many mods became useless and unsoported by many authors years before the last working F4SE plugin. If somebody still waiting for a new ver. of supported mod (introduce name here) then you'll keep waiting 4ever.
It's not a Homemaker holotape it's a Settlements Menu Manager Holotape. You need to install SMM, Homemaker 1.76 and Homemaker Menu fix (it's in the optional files) then in game run the Settlements Menu Manager Holotape by doing this: Pipboy-->INV-->MISC--->Settlements Menu Manager Holotape, select [Settlement Menu Rescue], it will be black as if nothing happens but wait it takes a few seconds then a message appears saying the menu is fixed.
IMPORTANT: If for some reason you have more than 1 holotape of SMM, like "Settlements Menu Manager Holotape (2)" drop the extra ones with R or whatever it is on a controller/joystick until you only have one and then run the Settlement Menu Rescue, that way the fix will take effect otherwise nothing will be fixed. After this the Homemaker menu shows up at the right end of the icon list of the Workshop Menu

I mean, does it need an upgrade? This mod doesn't use any F4SE plugins, it only uses minimal scripts to add items. If there is a problem with it I can talk to Damanding about making a patch, but it theoretically shouldn't need one.
ok so i do have this working on Next Gen. It took me several attempts at the correct install order and the SSM being run on a save that was before any attempts. I didnt have to run the "second attempt" fix either. It just takes a correct install order, and i used it on a new game.
ok so for me i made the mistake of installing everything on a new playthru, do not do this. i had to remove homemaker and add it after i had run with SMM and opened up the holotape and ran it. Once i did that i saved and closed the game. Then i installed homemaker and launched from my latest save file. Keep in mind i made double save files so that i could get this to work it was a pain. but it did eventually work correctly. Which the instructions do not say you cant have it installed in a new playthru, however that seems to be the case. Start with a clean new play thru that DOESN'T have homemaker installed at it, could be an older one but again at a timeframe before you installed homemaker is the important part. Then install SMM run the holotape, save, close install homemaker open that last save and win.
For those of you that still don't have this. it is as simple as installing the fixer on the file tab on this page. Install with vortex. HOMEMAKER IS BACK BABY!!
Hey, this is an awesome mod and I'm so happy I came across it. I was looking for a mod to paint or wallpaper concrete walls (I'm using Basement Living mod) and this came up, but I didn't find anything that was able to do this. Is it in the mod? Where can I find it? Thanks.
The Snappy HouseKit mod adds tons of building items including an entire section of nothing but wall papers! It's been a life saver when trying to repair the walls at The Castle as it has a wallpaper for that too. I would also recommend installing the Snappy DLC Kits addon if you have the Far Harbor DLC
Great, came back to redownload this mod after a couple years only to discover it now requires all DLC's so i can't use it anymore. Thanks, OP.
EDIT: I can't figure out how to delete this comment so just want to apologize to OP. I realize now you can download older versions. I was a dick, my bad.
