Bodyslide Morphs will now update normals/tangents/bitangents, this is at the expense of processing power so morphs are applied slightly slower than they used to be. In addition, full-precision meshes are now supported for morphing.
BodyGen is now functional similar to the RaceMenu feature, the only difference is where the files go, see file description for how BodyGen works.
Hope to hear something soon, especially since presets depend on it. Don't want to think of the amount of code that he has to go through every time Bethesda "does a thing". Best of luck Expired.
If Presets are greyed out or features are restricted:
1.) Make sure you're launching the game using F4SE and that it's running as admin, mods should be up to date with the current version. if you use MO2 you will need to create an F4SE_loader.exe Instance In the MO2 executable if you don't have one already. If you launch via Steam or via running Fallout4.exe instead of F4SE, or any method from outside of MO2. That will prevent LooksMenu from running properly. "LooksMenu.esp" should also be enabled in the plugins tab.
3.) If you're using Buffout 4, you need to find the "config.toml" file. The directory of the file location should look like this ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\mods\Buffout 4\F4SE\Plugins\Buffout4. It may be different for Vortex users, but you can also right click the file In your Mod Organizer and click on "Open in Explorer". Navigate to the path shown above. Once you find "config.toml" right click, open with and edit it with Notepad or Notepad++. You will then find a "[Compatibility]" tab (if you can't find it hit CTRL + F and search for it). Under that tab F4EE is set to "false" by default, change this to "true" and make sure to save.
4.) If you are an ultrawide 21:9 user like myself, and are using a compatibility mod such as Ultra Wide Interface. Reinstall the mod using your Mod Manager and select the correct compatibility options in the FOMOD or in the files tab if applicable. If that doesn't work, you have to go Into the "Interface" folder in your Ultra Wide Interface mod. I am using MO2 so the easiest way to do this is to search for the mod by using the "Filter" feature bottom left corner near the plugins tab. Once you find your mod right click, then click on "Open in Explorer". You then want to click on the "Interface" folder and search for "LooksMenu.swf" go ahead and delete it. Once that is complete your preset(s) should work.
This has not been tested on Next-Gen and only tested using the downgraded version. I understand this was a bit long I do sincerely hope this worked. It took me hours to find fixes. Hopefully these steps lead you in the right direction and save you the headache. Happy Modding!
Questions: 1. What do you mean "run F4SE as admin"? I downloaded the most recent F4SE using Vortex. Unsure how to 'run' the mod? 2. Are you using the newest F4SE or the older one? 3. Does this require you to downgrade your game? (trying to avoid that. Tried it once and it really messed stuff up). 4. What is MO2?
2. If you have downloaded F4SE from Nexus, then yes you have the latest ver.
1. If you go in to your Fallout 4 folder within steam, as long as F4SE is installed correctly, there should be a file called F4SE_loader, if you left click , then right click the file, you will get a drop down that includes "Run as administrator" click that and you will run as administrator. 1-2. To run the F4SE mod though Votex, which I am guessing you are using as you do not know what MO2 is, at the topleft of Vortex there will be a white star, that runs F4SE
3. No!
4. MO2 is another Mod Organiser, much like Vortex. Some people prefer MO2 over Vortex
Every time I use this mod, my character's face becomes slightly deformed. Nostrils and ears are misshapen, and the facial hair is being clipped by the skin. Does anyone know why this is happening? My character's face immediately reverts to normal after disabling the mod. This has been occurring for me even before the recent F4 update.
I know anyone providing a free resource owes those who use it absolutely nothing, but it would be incredible to get some sort of brief note on update progress or at least just confirming it is being worked on. Take your time and I appreciate your contributions to the community, I'm just nervous and would love an update haha
The question is expired6978 still modding or will they at least update the mod for the newest version of the game. Or is he/she retired from this game and has no interest of updating it. And it looks like she/he hasn't posted anything here for several years now, so not looking good.
They might be waiting for the first patch. The modder for F4SE updated his progress report to say that the game itself is rather unstable at the moment, and that F4SE will need another update after Bethesda releases the next patch to fix some of the things that the Next-Gen update broke. So maybe expired6978 is waiting for that to happen so that they don't have to update things again?

In the MO2 app, it's crossed out under Plugins, but it can still be turned on and off.
