Overwhelmed with Sanctuary bridge mod choices, I decided to test most of them and post my results on the relevant mod pages to aid anyone else making a similar decision. To prevent bloat, I split the list between those importing the pre-war wooden bridge, those using the concrete pillar/iron arch assets from Nuka World, and those with a unique spin. I ignored retextures of the vanilla bridge or mods that edited Sanctuary in other ways.(P= Provisioners, F= Followers, Collision means Settlement Objects can be placed, No Collision means placing SO requires Place Everywhere)
Vanilla Pre-War Wooden Bridge Asset Mods With all of these mods, NPCs will naturally avoid pathing over the portion of the southeast side that is missing in the rotten vanilla version, but they can be pushed onto it without issue.
Repaired Sanctuary Bridge by NovaCoru https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7722?tab=description and Works only if you edit the fallout.ini and add "bUseCombinedObjects=0" under the [General Tab] instructed by the mod description. YOU ARE ADVISED BY THE MOD AUTHOR THEMSELF NOT TO USE THIS MOD. IT IS OUTDATED AND THERE ARE BETTER ALTERNATIVES, SEE ABOVE. Navmesh works for P and F. No Collision.
Sanctuary Bridge Repair and Retex by SkyCrap https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9637?tab=description Exactly same as Repaired Sanctuary Bridge, but with darker, “rotted” texture. DO NOT USE THIS MOD AND BREAK PRECOMBINES, USE ONE OF THE FIRST TWO I LISTED.
Results: Clear winner is Sanctuary Bridge Fix by TTek Despite NovaCoru’s mod having by far the greater download and endorsement count, TTek’s offering wins this category. It does exactly what the other 3 do, but doesn’t require breaking precombines (or the extra step of editing the .ini file in the first place) AND is the sole entrant with collision built in. If you want the prewar bridge, this is the mod I recommend and officially endorse.
Hello, Loving the mod but the bridge has z-index clippings on every leg. It's a minor visual glitch but you can't let it go once you notice them. Is there any possibility to fix this, or does anybody know any other mod which don't have them?
I thought the old bridge was clipping through the modded one so I disabled and deleted the old bridge prior to loading the mod but the Z-fight is still there. Would really really really appreciate if somebody could fix this...
Is there any way you could make it so that the player has to fix the bridge, e.g. it doesn't just start out fixed?
Maybe have it require X number of wood and Y number of steel to repair. This way it doesn't just break the immersive immersiveness of the immersion that we are all immersed within?
Thanks a bunch for this mod. I had a previous sanctuary overhaul and a bridge overhaul, so when removing them, the bridge just disappeared along with the walls connected to the bridge itself and it just looked so bad, etc. But this bridge fixed the issue that the uninstall of other mods messed up. So thanks a lot for the save! :D
Also, bonus points for not messing with the terrain, messing up blueprint imports for sanctuary settlements! *endorsed*
Hm, I'm not sure.. It could be your save or one of the mods you've been using.. Maybe try to roll back to a previous save and disable your mods and when the bridge is okay enable mods one by one to rule them out
I already did that prior to my post. I disabled everything except the two DLCs and rolled a fresh character. Ran out of the vault and it was still clipping into the new one. I assumed you meant for us to delete the old bridge somehow but I can't seem to find the bridges ID to remove it with the console.
Does this cause the cell reset bug? Most mods that change certain assets in the Sanctuary cell causes it to reset the cell after a reload from a save game or from re-entering the cell in the game.
Most mods that edit world cells cause that bug to some degree. This mod helps: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6772/?
Be aware that a lot of mods can cause that bug without even knowing it. Best to just get the patches. Buildable Power-Armor mod is the best way to protect your power-armor. The http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6698/?
Endorsed! Thank you for creating and sharing your mod Mousey2. Works as advertised and the area immediately at the foot of the bridge is buildable. Useful when we want to create our own "Welcoming Committee" in that area

It looks better nonetheless though.

I disabled all my mods but this one and ran out of the vault and it's still clipped. Unsure why.
