SMB92 has moved on to work on his new mod, and I have came back to manage the mod and keep general tabs on stuff. We may decide at some point to continue developing this mod, but it is most likely final/complete. If you wish to monitor SMB92's progress on his work, please make your way to his discord in the link below, or if that is expired, find another link in the nexus forum, or simply search him on discord.

I consider this mod absolutely essential to my game (but had to uninstall it anyway... the reason is below). But I highly recommend it for people on systems that can handle it.

I like playing as a part of a team rather than a kill-everything-ultrabadass-supersoldier. Usually I go out with 3-5 companions, and each of us has our own job. Normally I have a scout or two, a support gunner or two, and then I play the role of sniper/anti-material rifleman (because NPC's are terrible at sniping, they're just as likely to target some bloodbug with their anti-material rifle when there's a Sentry Bot right there as well). Playing survival level with this mod, plus, better locational damage, better power armor AND powerful power armor, vertical spawns, combat stalkers, settlement attack system, and the one where there are increased patrols (can't remember what it's called) if I go out by myself, I can suddenly find myself surrounded by 20 or more hostiles, and I either have to run or hide, there's no winning against that many enemies, especially if they include dudes in power armor with helmets. VATS isn't going to save me.

Sadly I had to uninstall the mod because I'm playing on a laptop, and my game is fairly heavily modded and I was getting very long load screens, and pretty low fps, especially in Boston around Hangman's Alley where I'd average about 12-15fps, and I would get really bad lags pretty regularly (like, measured not in frames per second, but *seconds per frame*). Eventually, when I tried to ride the vertibird to the Prydwen, I couldn't make it without a CTD. I think I tried about five times. So as a test, I uninstalled WOTC, and tried again and made it on the first try. Went back to Boston, ran around the (now relatively empty) streets and I was averaging 25-30fps. I don't know if it's solely because I'm playing on a laptop, or if there are other mods that conflict with this one, but uninstalling it more or less solved my low fps/studder/lag problems and long-wait loadscreens.

Just sucks because I was really enjoying the epic battles. Anyways, it's more likely an issue issue with my system than with the mod itself. It was fun while it lasted. Thanks for the hard work. Endorsed.

Really wish I could keep this mod enabled, but whenever I have this mod on, my saves will become unreadable. What I mean is I'll get the issue where saving will cause a crash. I've tested my load order with and without this mod and I've determined that it's the cause. This usually happens 10+ hours in. My saves with this mod on are 60mb, and they are 14-ish mb without. I tried playing with the spawns on the lowest possible, but this still occurs. Anyone know why this is happening?

So is this mod playable anymore with Horizon 1.7? I used to use this mod with horizon 1.5 and kept the WOTC preset at Mama's boy and under Spawn Frequency, set city spawns to option 0. I also disabled Vertical Spawns and Vertibirds and really had no issues. I was using a good 40+ mods including the unofficial FO4 patch. I also had a WOTC experimental fixes patch as well as an unofficial Horizon and WOTC patch.

This use to be so unstable for me, it was the only source of my CTD's and I decided to look deeper into it because i love this mod. Long story short I deleted every entry in F04 Edit that conflicted with this mod and I have suffered no repercussions including CTD's. I even have the Unofficial Patch that people say is incompatible. I didn't have to trouble that. I recommend you back do the appropriate backing up first. You never know what can go wrong for you. I'm playing on the highest setting with 254 plugins active :3 hopefully it helps someone.

Oh, I only had to edit the encounters and worldspace sections of the my mod list.

Thanks for your sugestion. Though I have tried to use F04 edit but could not figure out how to remove all the conflicts. I know about cleaning files.

It all boils down to your mod list for me the mods that were editing the encounters and world space were ''Unnecessary" because I preferred the edits made by WOTC. To answer your question it is simple as going over to the various tabs that WOTC has and see which mods conflict and delete those entries. You can take the wholesale approach [NOT RECOMMENDED] (delete the conflicting tabs | quick and easy) or fine tuned approach [RECOMMENDED] (delete individual entries that conflict or make them represent the values that are present in WOTC | Slow and dreadful). The results vary for each mod list, some mods don't work well with editing them.

All the editing I am referring to can be done with F04EDIT

Hey, thank you sooooo much. I used xEdit as you suggested and I manually fixed the conflicts one by one and now I don't get any CTD's. You truly saved this game for me because without this mod the game becomes to monotonous.

I recommend remove any left over scripts from your save files, after you've saved the game while inside a building or basement, any interior cell really.

What is up with this mod? I only have 27 mods, the biggest being Horizon and Sim Settlements. The rest are just outfits. My game was running with zero crashes for 3 days now. I install this last night, and my game has crashed 5 times since in a matter of 2 hours worth of playtime. The crash is ONLY coming from this mod. Ive even replicated an area that crashes every time, Mole rat Den.

I've disabled the highway spawns and vertical spawns, but im sure that has nothing to do with the crashes in an dungeon type zone. On the outside world, the game will crash when either trying to scrap, going to an area, or during fights. As i stated before, my game works perfectly fine without this mod.

Please help. I love how this mod works, but the crashes make it literally unplayable.

EDIT: After doing some reading in the frequent CTD section, i noticed it mention Unofficial Fallout 4 patch is incompatible, along with anything that messes with settlements. Aside from the latter, isnt the unofficial patch needed to fix a lot of stuff wrong with FO4? And as for the latter, so no sim settlements? Or is it just talking about actual revisions to settlements?

EDIT #2: So Unofficial Fallout 4 patch nor Sim Settlements or any of my 27 mods have anything to do with the crashes. Its literally just WOTC. I reinstalled FO4 and ran a new game with just WOTC. Went to Mole Rat Den and the same crash as before still happens. So im sure it will happen elsewhere. So yes, it is indeed this mod that causes crashes.

To say that FO4 is unstable is an understatement. Adding WOTC to that is honestly asking for trouble. WOTC is a load of fun and I absolutely loved it, however it brings with it a level of instability I found unacceptable, which is truly a shame. Anytime you are adding this many actors on the stage, and thus needing to track all of their equipment, their damage (both taken and dealt), explosions (which generate a huge amount of data), and then you have to track both dead bodies and their loot. You can see the issue. The data it is generating can easily overwhelm your game engine. Bare in mind that this actually has little to do with however bad ass your personal system might be, it is rather at factor of how limited the over all game engine is at handling large amounts of data.

This is part of the reason for the washed out colors that come with the vanilla game, the very limited trees and weather, etc etc. The game performance was balanced around the lack of these things.

This might help people maybe or maybe this just works for me. I stopped getting random crashes by going into a interior cell and saving and leaving the game and unpicking the plug ins for this mod and going back into the game and saving and leaving the game and reactivating the plug ins and playing again.
You can only do this once in your play through as if you do a second time the game will freeze when entering a settlement cell.
I am curious to know if this will help anybody else.
