    WHAT'S NEW:
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    NEW OPTIONAL FILES(ADD-ON):
    There are now four optional files:

    vertunlockbospilot
    vertunlockminutemenpilot
    vertunlockrailroadpilot
    vertunlocksynthpilot

    Pick ONE add on depending on what faction you want. What these do is override the game so that:
    #1: vertibird fast travel is unlocked at start/by default.
    #2: vertibird signal grenades are craftable at chem station under grenades.
    #3: depending on which faction you want your new vertibird that comes to pick you up will be either
    BOS(standard), Minutemen, Railroad, or Institute.

    UPDATE 1.4:
    TWO VERSIONS AVAILABLE:

    Major Update - Cargo - AI - DLC01 version adds ability to trade/store inventory.
    requires DLC01 (automotron)
    fixes collision bug (hopefully)

    To do this, I have added an "artificial intelligence" to the vertibird which uses data from the automatron DLC so that you
    can have dialog to trade. I have used the beep voice so that the vertibird will not be chatting to you and break immersion.
    to me this is feasible for immersion as the vertibird is already auto-pilot so an AI makes sense. Please ignore the option to
    "let's get moving" unless you want the vertibird to teleport behind you everwhere you go. you will get dialog options like you would
    the automatron robot beep version. just ignore it all other than trade option and you'll be fine. this was the only way to add ability to store
    items in the vertibird. when the CK/geck comes out I will look into changing this to something better.

    personal vertibird 1.4 - NO AI version:

    no trade/inventory does not require DLC01
    fixes collision bug (hopefully)



    1.3 update please see updated description for full details. here is a run-down:
    UPDATE 1.3:

    Personal Craftable Vertibirds and the air support craftable ones are now higher material cost. This was by request so that it wasn't so
    "cheaty/cheap" to create.

    PCV now has a helipad for your vertibird. Craft it in resources>misc

    The helipad acts as a fast travel marker, (you can only have one of these per settlement.) The vertibird will land right on it every time
    as long as nothing is blocking it.

    There are now Personal Craftable Air Support Vertibirds. Find and build via special in workshop just like the personal vertibird.
    these air support vertibirds will fly up and protect your settlements!

    There are now settler assignable furniture Vertibird, Stingray, and ufo that act just like the scavenger stations. Once placed and you assign a settler
    the settler will "work on" the aircrafts (welding) and so on.

    these can be found in resources>misc

    There are also new grenades in the chemistry station that will summon Air Support Vertibirds so you can have them when you travel.

      You put the file in the data/meshes folder? The helipad seems to be the only thing working for me...

      If the helipad mesh is not showing for you make sure as in description you have folder "pcv" with the nif "PVHelipad01.nif" is in your data/meshes folder.
      If you still have issues make sure you have enabled mods correctly especially enabling "loose files":
      Under [Archive] add the following line: bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      Also under [Archive] change the value for sResourceDataDirsFinal= to blank (nothing after the equals sign).

      I can see and place the helipad, but after I place it I cannot move or delete it. Any idea how to fix this? Or is this a known bug?

      I have the folder "pcv" with the nif "PVHelipad01.nif" in my data/meshes folder.
      Everything works except being able to move or delete it.

      I presume doing the other things you mention is needed as well for this issue?

      not sure, because on my end I can place it, move it, scrap it etc.

      meshes/pcv/PVHelipad01.nif would be the correct file path structure to store in the archive, as opposed to pcv/PVHelipad01.nif.
      It should work every time with an NMM install then.

      I have everything else correct, ini file and meshes and no matter what I try I can place and use the helipad, but I cannot move or delete it once placed. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I hope someone else does as it might shed some light on why this is happening.

      I'm using NMM to install, at first, the Helipad didn't work. It showed up in the Workshop, but I couldn't see it. Checked the Data/Meshes folder, it wasn't there. Found it in the Data folder, so I just Dragged it into the DATA/MESHES folder, DAMN, the thing is HUGE. I guess it was just an FMOD problem. I think Starlight Drive-in is the only place you could put it without a foundation. OKAY, maybe Boston Airport.

      Could you perhaps make a guide for a viable landing pad?
      Anything I make just has the Vertibird avoid the pad completely.

      The deletion/selection point is near the center of the telepad, but you may need to remove any objects beneath this center.
      Likely due to the same reason one falls through the helipad if it has nothing under it.
      It appears to have no collision.

      If you are having issues with the Helipad mesh, check the actual Data folder, I found a pcv folder there containing the Helipad mesh. I installed this mod via NMM.

      Yep had to copy it from the rar file NMM didn't install the Mesh part butit looks like it can't land on player made buildings like on this screenshot ?

      I couldnt get the pad to show up ..... till i removed the other fast travel marker.

      I think where some people are having an issue is using a mod manager to install, or even manually installing it wrong due to just dropping the mods folder into the data folder like most mods, the mesh nif is not in a data/meshes/pcv, its just the pcv folder inside of the download, so if you open your Fo4 Folder, then open data, followed by opening meshes and drop the mods folder in, you shouldn't have any issue. I'm not sure if this has been said already or not but I hope this helps some people get this mod working correctly as its a fantastic one indeed.

      I hadf the same prob. The pcv directory that contains the nif file installs outside the meshes directory. Move the pcv dir from data to meshes and you'll see the helipad. Great mod nonetheless!

      The nif file points to C:\projects\Fallout4\Build\PC\Data\materials\Landscape\Roads\AsphaltRoadDetails01.BGSM, which I presume is your working dir. All I get now is a big decal I can't move or remove.

      Just a thought, but have you considered making this an Automatron vehicle? At least a version of it. You could probably spawn the Vertabird with a Robobrain as the pilot. Would also explain the whole going off course thing. :-P When I read it has no pilot, that is the first thing that popped in my head. With a pilot, it might suggest a faction, but not so with a Robobrain. MWAHAHAHAHA!

      What about sticking a footlocker/Duffle bag on the deck beside the gun for storage? love this mod, but too many bugs with the AI version, gonna try the other one now.

      Don't really see it as a huge issue but apparently you are not entirely immortal in the bird. During travel I think someone popped a mini nuke at me, knocked me dead out of the sky. Makes sense but came as a very rude shock!

      I know nothing about modding but perhaps utilising a stealth feature would prevent random air assualts and having crazies chase the craft till it lands. With automatron in particular, those wandering robots seem to chase the vertibird for miles.

      Great mod though. It makes fast travel really interesting!

      Many have the same problem. For some reason, when you install it, the folder named pcv get put into Data folder, instead of Meshes. So all you need to do is go to your Fallout 4 Data folder, and drag the pcv folder into Meshes folder.

      Do you have the Spring Cleaning mod? It has been known to cause some strange behaviors if your adding new construction elements sometimes. If you do I believe if you place this mod after spring cleaning in the load order of NMM, it should overwrite the spring cleaning script causing the problem.

      hi, I don't have a Meshes folder. The pvc is in the FO4\Data folder, is the Meshes folder supposed to be in the Data folder? if so then can i make a Meshes folder in the Data folder??.

      One other thing where do I put the "NEW OPTIONAL FILES,"

      Make a folder in your DATA directory that is named MESHES and place the PCV folder into it. You don't need to capitalize it, I just did so to emphasize.

      The new optional files are ESP files. They will go into your DATA folder. You'll need to use only one at a time, and activate it through whatever way you are turning on/off mods. Put it behind the main mod file in the load order.

      As for following you around? Not a clue, I am not having that issue. Sorry.

      Can someone tell me the ID code for the vertibird signal grenades that go with this mod? I can't seem to craft them, only the air support ones who don't want to give me a ride. Thanks in advance.

      first of all cool looking mod, wished it worked out of the box but mines broken, followed all the suggestions of getting the helipad to work and it still doesn't, does the mod need the helipad to work with the fast traveling to settlements? also, can not find the helipad in the workshop at all , i hear it's a glass pitcher or something, don't know what category its under tho. yes, before anyone says, i made sure mods were enabled and PVHelipad01.nif is in the meshes/pcv folder. i don't get if its a load order conflict or another mod conflict? i'm running the max 252 mod esp's and i cant get no real straight answer to this? also, i can get both vertibirds to show in my workshop as chairs if that right? but, just not the helipad, uninstalling till this get fix, sorted out, or better update gets released. and really there shouldn't be a NMM if it doesn't install properly. just make it a manual download only, your confusing people with the failed NMM install completely.

      The helipad is optional. The point is more a visual thing. It causes the fast-travel point to move, which you can do in other ways.

      If you are still having this problem, I had it as well. I found in order to select the piece you have to be near dead in the middle of the H on it.

      Will not let me craft vertibird or air support at BOS airport, but otherwise great mod. Maybe add a quest under misc to find it in case you leave it somewhere and forget about it.

      Have the same problems with the helipad - it's not there. Did everything as described.
      Think, that is another mod that disturbes.
      Perhaps moving it to category special may work.

      Hey I downloaded the no ai version of this mod because I dont have automatron and i have encountered problems during every step of getting the helipad to work. I downloaded with nmm and the vertibird worked fine but I wanted it to land on the roof of my house. It didn't. I tried putting a regular spawn mat there, tried putting the heli pad (which wasn't visible at the time), etc. Nothing worked. I found that the pcv folder was in the fallout 4 folder so i moved it to data/meshes. All this did was make the model of the item in the workshop (Not when you are about to place it but when you are looking at it from the workshop interface) less transparent. Still no model when I tried to place it. So i saw the thing about changing some code in archive so I did that and the model was there when I tried to place it. I ran into 2 problems. 1. I couldn't pick it up but I saw a comment about the selection point being in the middle so this was ok. 2. It didn't work. The vertibird landed in the exact same spot as before I even had a heli pad after I had placed the heli pad. Why doesn't it work?

      I have spring cleaning and always make sure it is last to load. While the helipad is very large the area that you can interact with it is very small, basically the size of a fast travel rug. Just go to the center of the helipad and look down. You should be able to see it and grab it to move or scrap.

      The problem I have with the helipad is when the vertibird lands. I have it elevated on stacked foundations three high. The helipad is on top. Whenever the vertibird lands it sinks through the helipad and top level of foundations and lands on the second level.

      The only other thing I would ask is if there was a way to make the vertibird that guards your settlement a little quieter.

    I've installed the mod, but when i go to craft it it doesent show up in the special catagory. In fact te special catagory doesent show up at all, can someone help me?

    i love this mod so much that i actually now prefer it over fast travel. besides accidentally glitching out my first one (my fault for not paying attention to instructions) and having to disable a sentient vertibird that stalked my every move, its worked exactly as intended and surprisingly hasnt conflicted at all with anything on my massive modlist. 10/10 good work

    - When I'm done, and I dismiss the VB, it just sort of ... moves around the settlement. It blinks over here... then over there... is there no way to tell it to stop and just sit still?

    - I manually put the PVHelipad01.nif into the meshes folder, but althoug I see the "ashtray" in the crafting menu, the helipad is still not craftable.

    1.Works with Vertibird Beacon.

    2.For those traveling with companion Ivy- turn off her HyperCombat before boarding this particular vertibird because when she uses the ability while traveling she can't teleport back onboard and you will become endlessly stuck in the vertibird- it attempts to land without success then travels to a random destination and this repeats in a loop and you lose completely control over it. This "bug" never happens to me in the vanilla vertibird.

    I have used this mod before with no problem, recently decided to reinstall fo4 and obviously got this great mod, but I am not seeing the bird or helipad anywhere in the build menu? Am I missing a prerequisite mod or something?

    Now I'm no programmer, everyone that makes mods here is a better man than I, but an idea I just had for this mod is that, for the vertibird to work, someone needs to be assigned to it as the pilot. Understandable that you can get BoS, Minutemen, Institute, and Failroad pilots in there, but with what I have going in my playthrough (that's modded straight to hell and back) I would really like to see one of my Halo Spartan armored settlers flying one of these. Is it possible for that thing to be made in the future? Maybe they need to have something equipped in their inventory for them to be assigned to it?
